I saw on a video once that when you are frying sunny side up eggs, you put the eggs in the pan. When the eggs look like the whites are about half cooked, put an ice cube in the pan and put the lid on. They will steam and be done in a jiffy.

Thanks, always looking for new ideas for molding chocolate and the fried egg yolk at the end. Great video!

You can also make baked hard boiled eggs. Set oven to 325 degrees. Put you eggs still in shell into a muffin pan, bake for 32-35 minutes, depending upon oven. Let cool for 10-15 minutes then peel the shell. I love the taste. I usually add to refrigerator still in the shell. And used the eggs when needed. Easy to peel also.

It looks like a fried egg because the white is flat and spread out with irregular edges. BTW, now I never boil eggs - I bake them in the oven for 30 min at the temperature 180 degrees. There are a lot of benefits: 1) you can prepare many eggs at once; 2) you can pill them easily; 3) you can keep baked eggs in the fridge for a week 4) the most important - baked eggs are more tasty than boiled ones.

One of the things that always makes me a little crazy is that no presenter ever shows how easy it is to peel hard boiled eggs under running water in the sink. The water easily gets between the shell and the white and the shell usually just slips right off (unless that egg is incredibly fresh). I know this is because it is hard to film, and because it isn't too sexy or fun. But is is the easiest way to peel eggs, and they end up nice and clean. Just set them on a paper towel to dry, and blot before using. Also, eggs can be hard or soft "boiled" by "steaming" using only about an inch of water in the pan. Heat to boiling, add the eggs, cover, and the smaller amount of water comes back to a boil very quickly, decreasing the time you spend watching or cooking them. Cooking times remain the same. I have done this for years and years and . . . you get the picture.
