I clean my chain with three step 1:- chain cleaner and brush action 2:- soap water and normal water with a cloth 3:- chain lube It is an excelent way to get the chain speck clean must try ❤

Guys I always watch all your videos ...as they are informative and enjoyable to watch. My concern here is since many of us watch and in a way influenced by what we see... My humble advice is ....to give equal importance to safety and the environment...spilling chemicals into the ground is not something we would like seeing....wearing safety goggles is also important....this would not encourage first time Diyers but also keep things safe...I hope this comment is taken on a positive note....cheers from Dubai...stay well..stay safe.

Guys want to thank you for eye opening video. I used to clean chain while engine operational in 1st gear to get effective thorough cleaning. After you said your some friends lost finger (which is possible while making final clean with old cloth) i am feelings shit about me and thanking god that this didn't happen with me. Now i will definitely work on chain cleaning without starting engine.

A 400ml bottle of motul C1 & C2 costs appx ₹1k. Average cleaning and lubing interval is 500km which is generally 7-10 days for me. At that rate 1 bottle lasts me around 1 - 1.5 month if used at proper intervals, that's 7-8 bottles a month, that's 7-8k on maintaining a chain annually. The price of my chain is 3.5k. You can do the math now. Best product to clean is kerosene which is the key ingredient for most of the chain cleaners. Best product to lube you're chain is SA90 gear oil which is recommended by most of the manufactures

Best chain cleaner and easily available is diesel or kerosene...nothing beats that! Rs 30 diesel for 3 times of chain cleaning...buy a spray which helps apply it...

Very well executed information. While sprayjng lube it gets splashed on rear tyre and alloys . How to avoid it . I have tried keeping cardboard but actually it not feasible . Can you highlight that as well . And since monsoons are about to hit plz make some video on how to get your bike ready before monsoon for rides as well as also how to avoid rust .

IMB, you just simply clean belt and drive with normal cloth, check teeths for mud and clear it with water. Regularly check belt tension thats it simple care of belt. Also keep regular check on belt for its condition, if some crack or irrgularity found, change it immediatly. Happy riding.

Hey, one very useful trick i tell, what you do is cut the red pipe which is attached to nozzel in to an inch and then use it, it gives effective control when you lube from short pipe. Lube gets wasted unnecessarily when thatvattached pipe is long(Kiran hands over sprayed due to less control in video). Tried and tested by me, do try

I use diesel for cleaning and Motul chain lube. DIESEL which is very cost effective cleaner and i am doing the same from past 2 years so it is safe. Chain cleaner costs minimum Rs. 200 for 400. ml and Diesel Rs. 88 for 1 liter. Do the math. Note that diesel shall be sprayed carefully to avoid spills on rims or worst on disk. Chain cleaner comes with nozzel pipe which directly aims on chain/sprocket so the chances of spill on rims and rear disk is less.

Guys just one suggestion, instead of chain cleaner you can go for kerosene. Just spray it and leave it for 15 min and clean the chain properly and finally lube

Hai couple use superbike back stand then start bike and put it 1or2nd gear.Then apply chain spray.It is very easy to clean chain.

When u get my Rtr 160 to get in service centre then clean the chain with a small penting brush with the help of petrol.....nd lubricant the chain with grease...it is right or not mam?????

If your chain has rubber o rings then it's a no no to use petrol. Use kerosene or diesel to clean it if you don't have chain cleaner. Grease is again a big no because it attracts a lot of dust and dirt. Use a chain lube. If your budget is less then use gear oil. 75w90.

Just make sure that neither the chain cleaner nor chain lube get sprayed onto the brake rotor...............you won't believe, but this happens 90% of the time, unless you take precautions.
