Hi! I was reading you have issues with The o2 sensor , wish issues or synthoms doyou have with The equinox ?
@HomegrownHowTo3 жыл бұрын
Mainly it would stall out from a cold start when in park and idling. Ran fine when engine was warm. I replaced the o2 sensor with an aftermarket Bosch part was when it started having issues. Swapped with an OEM AC Delco o2 sensor and it ran just fine. Hope that helps.

Is that another sensor to the left of the one you removed right on top of the throttle?

*To the left of the MAP sensor.

The box where it says "ECO" is dirty inside in mine. Should I clean it out or what? I have a 2010 Terrain.

bryan sosa Sorry- I’m not quite sure what box you’re referring too but if it’s part of your air intake may as well clean it out.

Get a 6-in-1 or 9-in-1 screwdriver. Usually less than $5. Remove the bit, probably the larger size, and the hex opening will fit the nut. No need to try to get a flat sided screwdriver to work, or try to find a socket. Also works great on random hose clamps in the engine bay. Go Lazy. Go Easy.

Eric Tompkins awesome, I’ll have to try that. Thanks for the tip!

Did it fix it?

In my instance these sensors were not what was causing my issue. I tried this first because I already had the cleaner and was an easy inexpensive job. As you can see my sensors in the video were not that dirty. My issue ended up being an O2 sensor that was starting to fail causing minor hesitation upon a cold start up. Hope you found this helpful. Take care.

A $15 tripod is your best friend for camera work. I almost threw up I was so dizzy. Plus it’s an oil filler cap. The gas cap is at the rear of the vehicle where you put your gas in. 🤦🏻

You’re right. This was the first video I made and have since changed a lot. Hopefully you’ll check out some newer videos. But thanks for the feedback. And yes I realize it’s an oil cap- hence the crowd noise every time I say “gas cap”. I guess I was nervous or something making my first video that is trash 😂 but it seems to help a lot of people which is the point. Again thanks for the feedback, I can only improve from it. Take care!

Good info, but you need to improve your camera work. Get some lighting. Keep the camera steady. Too much shaking. Give a clear shot of the areas you a working in. Move the camera in slowly. Then give clear steady shots of the location of the part, and the part removed, from all angles.

zaxs90 thanks for you comment on how I can improve. This was one of my first vids and I feel camera work has gotten better. Appreciate your feedback. Best!

Gas Cap? Nice video. Be better if you did one sensor at a time for those not familiar with MAF and MAP.

Terry Moore yeah I don’t know why I kept saying that- hence the boos. Thanks for watching and for your feedback! Appreciate it!
