Good job! As the wife of a firefighter I can tell you that dryer vent clogs are the #1 cause of house fires in the United States. 🔥 🏠

Yeah, that's not true at all. It's cooking, that's number 1. Dryer lint isn't even in the top 5 causes of house fires. Double check with your FF and the NFPA, like I did.

The nice thing about my laundry room is that there is and exterior wall so the dryer sits right next to that and the vent goes right through the baseboard and outside next to our hose. So all you gotta do is take the decorative pice off the outside of the siding of the house and disconnect the dryer vent hose. Then you can just stick your arm in the hole and clean it with a Clorox wipe. It’s really nice. I know a few of my neighbors have a similar setup too.

If I had a leaf blower it would be great for refrigerator coils too. My dryer vent has alot more curves so I clean it at least once a year.

I've got one of those brushes that you attached to a drill. It works a lot better than the leaf blower andr getsrid of any lint that is stuck onto the vent line. However I did do the leaf blower trick when I first bought my house.. I made the mistake of sticking the leaf blower into the outside opening and blowing it to the inside after isconnected the dryer. It looked like it was snowing inside of my garage.

No, they're not. They're literally designed to con people into thinking they're "new and sleek" but Whirlpool used a 63 year old design of dryer that's the absolute flimsiest thing on the market, and the washer scored a 53 on Consumer Reports, particularly for "poor cleaning performance" and "very poor spin speed"... that washer will end up costing you about $4,000 over 15 years (although CR also points out that whirlpool washers only last about 2.5 years before major failure/service, compared to LG's 14 years) in extra electricity because of how slow it spins. Whirlpool needs to be put out of business, because the free market has become such a quivering pile of trend-seeking drones that consumers don'e even care if their washers score a FAILING GRADE at the only function they expect them to perform?!?!?
