Thanks for this. Just got the TX22 TORO and I want to clean it before I even take it out. It looks really easy to clean so that's awesome. I bought quite a few different types of ammo for it so I can test different ones out, depending on where I shoot I might clean it after each type each and see which ones are cleaner shooting. All the boxes are 300 or 375 so I'm expecting that'll be enough to spot the differences. Looking forward to it!

I generally shoot 400-500 rounds each time I’m at the range with no issues. The only ammo issue I had an issue with was with 36 grain hollow points. I think that ammo is not powerful enough to fully cycle the slide. BTW, as I mentioned above, I shoot lots of rounds and clean it every other range outing. This firearm stays relatively clean for a 22.

Good job, however oil is an attractant for dirt and powder fouling. Minimal oiling is ideal however the wear areas and sliding surfaces should be well lubed as well as the outside especially in humid and wet environments. Surgically placement of oil is the best idea as too much can be a negative. Dont forget the magazine .

Yup. I usually mention at the start of the video that we won’t be disassembling the magazine but that users can it they wish. Sometimes those mags are made with assembly oil or grease and can get a build up of debris.

While holding it up looking at it, it's actually wide enough that I can see the spring inside through the gap. Is that normal? I'm making sure the spring is pushed down all the way before reassembling, but can't make the gap any smaller.

My slide would not break loose, even with the takedown lever lowered. Others have complained of the same problem with new pistols. If you've followed all the other steps and the slide won't budge, give it a good whack from the rear to the front, while holding the takedown lever down. That should get the slide loose and then you can proceed as normal.

Logic tells me if you could not get a bore brush through the barrel a bullet would not fit through either. The little bit of common sense I have says there was something else going on. My guess is you had the wrong size bore brush.
@82lawless
@82lawless 3 жыл бұрын
@@Rusty_ok that's where your little bit of common sense and logic would be wrong. When you get a lot of lead build-up in a barrel bullets will still pass through but will be very inaccurate. And with the heavy build-up makes it really difficult to clean the barrel. Nice try tho👍

I enjoyed the video, but you can make it better by having the gun under a more direct and stronger light. Your gloves and the gun are black so there needs to be lots of light to see the details of what you are doing. I would love to see this remade with that light. Thanks

@@travisp11 yeah, basically I just like to run 40gr high velocity for a while before trying something cheaper (bulk) that's less consistently loaded.
