This is absolutely amazing! my water bottles were filthy inside and with the simplest of actions they are as new!!! This ought to be widely known! No need for a load of expensive stinky chemicals. Thanks so much.

Thank you this worked great on my gallon bottle that had black spots in it from making Gatorade in it 😊

Genius! I did exactly what you said and it worked. I had green algae(?) lining the bottom+sides of my 3-gal water jug. It took less than a minute to resolve the budding science experiment. (It may have helped that I did it after letting the bottle soak in dish detergent and hot water for about 10 minutes before I found your video.) Thank you so much for posing this. I was afraid I'd have to get a new jug but you saved the day!

Does it matter if I use 5% or 6% vinegar? I've seen some instructions for cleaning various things that specifically instruct to use 6% vinegar. Is this necessary here?

I was told by a water guy that the easiest and hassle free way to clean the 5 gal bottles is to use hot water (2 gal) + vinegar (3 cups), shake it up and rinse away with plain hot water. Should be done at least twice a year depending on usage. There's really no need for rice, baking soda or any other stuff since the hot vinegar solution takes care of the dirt, grime, moss, bacteria, etc.

Ok here’s the deal.It’s grade eight science.When you combine vinegar with baking soda basically making salty water.Vinegar is an acid.Baking Soda is a base.combine the two and you get an instant reaction neutralizing both.The vinegar by itself with the rice as an abrasive would do a better job

Hello my friend, what would be a suitable replacement for vinegar in this instance? For example - would squeezed lemon work? Cause I'm assuming we would need acidity. Thanks!
@IMTVLive8 ай бұрын
You can try it without vinegar. Vinegar with lemon juice is natural sanitizer
@julieprince776 ай бұрын

Actually the idea with rice is great if you don’t have a sand nearby. But I don’t like to use vinegar because you need to wash it out too long Anyway, thank you a lot, this video helped me to clean the bottle in 1 min! Salt, rice and water.
