Even though this is sponsored, I honestly can't recommend enough getting a robot vacuum if you have birds. Seed and feathers and all the mess they make is such a pain to seek or vacuum every day. I have a robot vacuum and it's legitimately the best thing I've bought this year.

I keep 31 birds; 27 of them are finches of different species. Four of the birds are diamond doves. They are so messy! I am so grateful to watch this video. I was dreading doing an ultimate cleaning of my two large bird cages. I had decided I would need to take the birds out of the cages and do a pressure washing of the cages outside. Now after watching your video I realize I don’t have to go to that trouble and inconvenience for the birds. I am definitely going to invest in a Robo vacuum with the additional mop function. I already use the vinegar and water as well as the poop off cage cleaner that you featured. I also highly recommend and use natures miracle birdcage cleaner;it is fabulous. Even though I’m a few decades older than you are, really respect and appreciate your excellent bird care advice and will continue watching your videos for a long time. I may eventually get a parrot. Right now I don’t think I have the time to dedicate to one but it’s starting to look very favorable!

...Why did u get a 3 week old bird...? They should still be with their parents. The bird could get shock and die, get sick, stressed, it's very unhealthy to get a bird that is under 6 weeks AT LEAST, it's it's HIGHLY preferred 12 weeks of age
@areum1323 жыл бұрын
@@NeuvilletteIsAPrincess His parents are first time parents and overfed a baby to death so the breeder (who’s a friend of mine) had to pull the other babies out as a precaution. Yes, you are right I’m well aware, it’s definitely tough work with a baby but I think it had to be done.
@NeuvilletteIsAPrincess3 жыл бұрын
@@areum132 U can hand-feed them though, at that age they're still on formula (should be) which means they still need to be closely watched. Not tryna be mean or anything, it's just a very...unsafe thing to do for the baby bird, unless handing it over to someone who knows what they're doing in regards to baby bird health and feeding

@@areum132 I was just making sure, some people go out of there way and then can't deal with it. I hope it goes well, and I'm sure you'll look after them! I’m from mexico and i always wanted a bird, but almost every single person that owns birds here just have them for their singing and sounds, and they don’t take good care of them and they keep them in really small cages:( the other day i saw a man that kept two buddies in a rlly small cage outside in a tall tree, wish i would’ve taken a pic. My aunt has two cockatiels in a small round cage without proper care, and I wanted to get them so bad. I finally managed to get two budgies a month ago in the flea market, and they honestly are scared but i’m still trying to get them to like me and thanks to you i’m learning more things because every bird deserves to be loved and should not live inside a small cage. Toys are really expensive but i just ordered some and i’m getting a big cage in christmas :) thanks for everything!!

Consider these facts: 1) Elle's great at training birds. 2) Elle saying "of course, the birds are gonna want to help with the cleaning process." 3) Birds do a great job of grooming themselves 4) Bird seen in video meticulously removing food particles from atop the vacuum. The obvious conclusion is that Elle should train the birds to clean their own cages. She could help them by providing them with vinegar and cute little sponges. Then of course the birds can turn on the robotic vacuum cleaner, using an app Elle has downloaded onto their cell phones.

Nice to hear, you are also an animal lover like me and have all kinds of animals in the house and birds just like me.. I personally find the robot impractical, it does a bit on the open surfaces, but you just see straw and dust, and so on remain lying around and then especially the corners behind anda lot of dust and dirt remains between the cages. I prefer to do it with a vacuum cleaner. preferably exercise a lot and make sure everything is neat and clean and dust-free in every corner and spot every day. and mop after it. An air purifier machine is also very practical with birds in the house.❤ i love to see your videos and your sweet and positive vibes 🙏

Cleaning 6 cages in 1 day is a lot! I'm in awe! I have Lyme Disease and can barely function so I've been putting off cleaning my 1 cage for my two albino parakeet sisters because I just don't have the strength. I'm a perfectionist though so I'm itching to give it a deep clean. Right now I just scrub out the bowls and scrape the perches, get rid of all the dust that accumulates from the food, etc. It needs a good washing though. Keep up the good work!

I have a gas oven and I was wondering if gas ovens are toxic to birds since certain types of gases are harmful to birds. Another question is, I am going to keep my bird in my room and I have a carpet, is it going to be harder to clean?

Based on the research I've done, gas ovens unfortunately don't seem real safe for both birds and people - though I'm sure plenty of bird owners have done just fine with them regardless. Usually the main trouble with ovens comes when they self-clean :) As for carpet, it can be difficult to clean at times! Through experience I definitely suggest having one of those office chair mats under the main cage with newspaper under other popular spots, as well as a small dustpan and vacuum.

Where did you purchase that cage? How long have you had those birds? I just bought me two parakeets 5 days ago. I want to clean the cage. I'm afraid of letting them out to clean the cage.
