The first cage is my sisters cage. She upgraded her to a flight cage! And the white perch is actually a pacific seashell perch and about the toys we actually ordered your box and are splitting everything in it so that my GCC can have some new stuff and her budgie can have some new stuff! thx so much for reviewing her cage! Thankyou so much for grading my bird room! The aviary is definitely a working progress; I just want the best for them 😁 The houseplants are all bird safe and the stainless steel food bowl is on the java branch perch thingie. @only bts if your birds room is safe and secure turn the lights off, close the blinds, and make the room as dark and quiet as possible after 8:00PM (at the latest ideally). Its fine for the budgies to sleep out of their cage or all in the same cage if they prefer. You would need to make sure that there are no other people or animals in the birdroom so that your budgies are safe. Two of my three parrots sleep out of their cage each night and have been doing so for a very long time. Its just what they prefer and since there are no hazards and they stay on their designated perches there is no reason not to have them sleep where they want.

For anyone thinking of getting a bird, keeping them gets pricey! If you can’t afford to get a large enough cage, plenty of toys and real wood perches, then I’d suggest not getting a bird. Birds are exotic pets and need as much nourishment as possible.

I was watching this with my birds and at 12:30 they both jumped onto my shoulder and then onto the keyboard and started running up and down it, looking back at their cage and the cage on the screen, probably because it has the overall shape of theirs (without the stand and their cage has a different setup, w/ different toys and perches), but either way, it was hilarious to watch😂😂

My 2 budgies have a 52 inch Yaheetech flight cage. It was only $99 on Amazon! It is huge and they have a ton of space. I have 2 budgies in that same cage I would never have more.

@@Jasmine-ge2xv I have the same cage and yes i can probably confirm it is a good size and etc for 2, my boyfriend also has the same one and he has 2 budgies too, they all get along very well BUT though kind of rare since budgies are social creatures if they don't get along best to not keep them together of course. In that type of scenarios most stories I have heard is when people own 2 females, since the males tend to get better with other males or females.

I have a 3 story cage for just 2 birds! It has alot of space and it's width and height is more than enough for them. We also let them out 2-3 hours a day if not more! We've had them for 4 years and they are amazing budgies!! :)

Justus walls. I was atrealy pretty prepared when I got him so it was a impulse buy, I’ve wanted a bird for 3 years and had always been interested in them, I’ve researched them a lot and never stopped, I asked my mom if I could take him to a Avain vet, but she said she thought he was fine, and I told her about the coughing noise, and how he’s been acting really strange, but they’ve owned birds too and didn’t think it was a big deal, we didn’t have enough money because of all the old house projects we have going, but my mom did order a air quality test and we’re getting a humidifier and some stainless steal bows in stead of the coconut one. Also I didn’t intend to get him at a pet store we were going to go to a rescue but it was to expensive there and they had many things that makes it so much harder, I admire that because then people will think it over more. But I the pet store had a albino budgie in it and he seemed fine to me, so I decided to get him since I had everything I needed. Next time we’re getting 2 cockatiel at a pet store since I go to Wildwood(homeschool program) and the other things that will make me a lil more prepared with as much saftey as possible.

My macaw cage is a couple of playstands next to each other. One is a regular playstand with a dowel perch, a toy hook with 2 shredding toys, and the other is a natural tree playstand with a wood toy. My macaws favorite place is the top of the toy hook. She spends 50% of her time there.

Her cage just came in via freight and she is already extremely territorial. I have put a bridge between her playstand and cage so that she can use both at her leisure (she feels safe sleeping at the top of the toy hook on the play stand so I wrapped it with sisal rope to increase the diameter of the top of the hook). It is a fairly typical macaw size cage (its as big as my room allows) but I don’t plan on having her locked in it unless I am going on vacation which happens one to two times per year for a combined total of 1-2 weeks.

I have 8 parrots: 3 Green Cheek Conures, 2 moustache parakeets, a Quaker, a brown head and an Amazon. One of my GCCs is beakless so I have him in a smaller cage full of perches because he has no beak to climb assist. Most are in a wrought iron 24” cage each but my brown head, one moustache are in flight type cages 30” wide and my Amazon is in a 48” cage. Covering the ceiling and one wall is a climbing net I knotted myself. The room is big because all 8 cages are in that room. They get up at 11, eat shortly after, and get their nutriberries at 2pm. After they finish eating their nutriberries, they come out. Some go getters fly to the living room and the training perch to get their piece of nut, while others fly to the play stand at the other end of the living room and others stay in the net in the bird room or on the cage tops tearing up empty millet boxes. When the dog goes to bed at 8pm, the birds fly to their cages and wait for the millet. Then they eat that and chill out until 9 pm when the light goes out. And then it all starts over. All my perches are either manzanita or apple tree. The dishes are either class or ramekins. They get their chop and pellets together because that’s the only way they will eat both. Their water is bottled and that dispenser is in their room. I have a cart on wheels to bring the dirty dishes into the kitchen and the clean ones are in the drain tray. My birds are not noisy because they are busy. I usually have 4 on me when I go to make tea. If someone comes to the door, all I have to do is go into the bird room and everyone follows me and I close their door and answer the outside door.

One thing that has really helped me is to remember that budgies do best with short training sessions, no more than 5-6 good repetitions. They can get bored really easily, so you'll want to end the session before they do to make sure they'll look forward to it next time! Also make sure that they aren't getting a whole lot of millet (or whatever treat you're using) in their normal diet. Best of luck!

Tabletop cages make great travel cages so don't get rid of it it's a great start. Just keep your bird out all day. And if your bird won't take to a spray bottle two or three times a week you can take everything out of the cage and put the misting humidifier in there. Make sure to wrap all your cords with duct tape or fleece because the birds chew right through them. And you can put your misting humidifier in the bird cage to keep it safe because birds will just peck those little suckers right apart

Video request: I thoroughly enjoyed this video and learned A LOT! Thank you! I have a getting toward elderly cockatiel whom I adopted 14 years ago, so his real age is unknown but he is showing signs of age. I love him to pieces! I learned from this that what I thought was a reasonable sized cage for him is, while not terrible, sub-optimal and I'm wanting to upgrade. The wrinkle: he is nearly blind. Not completely, but he's losing his sight significantly as he ages. He's otherwise a happy bird who talks to me, calls, whistles, and, thanks to you, I've now trained him to accept treats from the sound of my voice without being so startled he's upset when I approach. He can't really handle "step-up" very well anymore, but that's another story. He's brave enough to find his way out of the top opening of his cage, but doesn't fly around or explore on the floor anymore either. Long story even longer, I am trying to figure out how/if I should buy him a new home or if a change of abode would be too stressful given his low vision. He gets around his cage just fine and knows where things are. He is brave enough, after awhile, to investigate and shred new toys. My request: would you consider doing a video comparing common cages found online and give a top three recommendation? A what to look for and what to avoid? It's a little harder to shop online and know that the cleaning/debris drawers etc. are actually well designed or not. I've read about problems with latches too. Your advice and experience would be welcome. Side quest: I would also appreciate any advice you have on elderly bird care, especially if I really shouldn't change his cage this late in the game.
