Another great video Steve. I think the many of the comments of not using compressed air came from Dealer who told people not to blow the list into the machine. Many years ago, my former Dealer (another Brand) brought a machine to a class, took the cover off and showed us what happens when a machine isn’t periodically cleaned and maintained. It looked like felt.

I thought that you neither blow with your breath or use canned air in your machine not just because of the humidity of the breath ,but mainly because, you will certainly blow lint and dust deeper into the mechanism of the machine where it is much more difficult to access and clean. I was told to only use the brush provided and a vacuum cleaner if preferred.

hi i have the V5 and i have two small issue with my machine the first is that a message keep coming up saying that i need to re thread my machine but it it threaded up i have been in touch with my dealer to try to get it fixed but with lock down its im possible he sent me some of his you tube links of which i have tried to no avail what can i do to get it fixed quicker

Can I ask do you know anything about error messages. I had been making many mask and my machine malfunction and error code came up TC-PM. Because of he virus everything is closed. I took the machine apart and cleaned it but still getting same message. Thanks debby

Those considering whether or not to use canned air, take a look at the video here on KZbin titled "Dangers of using canned air on sewing machines."

Blowing into your machine, deposits lint, dust and possibly broken needles into the internal gears. Don't tell people the wrong information. People will have to take their machines into repair more often, unnecessarily!

Most machines now, like this one has casings that prevent that. You would have to open it up to get into the internal gears.

1. Can barely hear you even with the volume all the way up. 2. Title is very misleading - this only shows 1 Brother model, plus only shows cleaning the bobbin chamber. Thumbs down from me.
