Very helpful. I have this machine in a Costco version LB6800 I think they call it. It came with extra embroidery thread, but the same machine. I know I have lots of lint from sewing flannel. Now I have confidence to take it apart, clean and oil. Thanks for sharing!!!

I have a SE425 with a broken Bobbin Winder. The top plastic piece that helps rotates the part toward the bobbin is what is broken. I ordered a new bobbin winder but need to see how to take out the old and replace with the new. Would you be able to show a video like that? :)

I would make sure the bobbin tray assembly and those gears are nice and clean from lint but try not to clean off the factory applied grease that makes it last longer.

My machine was soooo dirty. I can’t describe how dusty it was. It’s clean now. I’m having a little trouble with the screws and putting things back together. Imagine the estimate was $300 for cleaning a $400 machine. I love my machine and heavily rely on it. So I’m asking for all the prayers, well wishes and positive‘sewing Mo-jo’ that can be sent my way, please?

You do not use compressed air on any sewing machines because it will drive the dust even deeper into the machines electronics.

they move but I dont think they are up enough. I saw your video about feed dogs, now when I thread my machine and try to pull up bobbin thread ,top thread gets caught on feed dogs. I was going to buy new feed dogs. I wonder if I can put them in. Please let me say THANK YOU for taking time with me. LUCY
@waynekaa4 жыл бұрын
Did you try the switch in the back first, that's the easy potential fix. If that doesn't work you probably have to open it up like I did and reset the feed dogs.

that didnt really do anything, I guess I'll try what you did on your video, keeping it on to watch of course. did I mention I bought the machine used then the girl wouldn't talk to me anymore. Thank you, this is just what I needed to learn how to oil my machine! Two questions- does the embroidery base ever need to be oiled? I know it has some serious moving parts! Also, in sewing mode, my machine is stuck only sewing in reverse. I googled and tried the "turn machine off, hold button in for 5 seconds" etc. tips and that worked at first but now nothing is working. It sews perfectly when embroidering, just won't stitch forward in sewing mode. I would really appreciate any help!
@waynekaa3 жыл бұрын
You mean when you hit the pedal it only goes reverse, or it only sews when you hit the reverse button on the machine?
@jenniferdimplesandtangles3 жыл бұрын
@@waynekaa It only goes in reverse when I hit the pedal.
@waynekaa75653 жыл бұрын
@@jenniferdimplesandtangles Sounds like your reverse level must be stuck even if the button doesn't appear stuck. Might need a video to show you where to unstuck it. Sometimes it gets stuck cos of debris got caught in there and keeps it in the reverse position

@waynekaa4 жыл бұрын
@@lucyhavrilla8949 ok you are in sewing machine mode. With nothing in the machine, when you are manually turning the needle, do the feed dogs (the spiky things) move up and down.

@@waynekaa I tried but no dice. Feeddogs move but bobbin thread just wont sew. Guess I was taken over. Cant even find repair man. MY LUCK If I have anymore questions I'll text you. TY again. Lucy
@waynekaa75654 жыл бұрын
@@lucyhavrilla8949 the feed dogs need to come up past the plate (because that's how the fabric pushes back), so like you should see spikes come above the plate when you move them. If the fabric doesn't move, the thread stays in place and you get the bunched thread in the bobbin area.
@TrishHarrison3 жыл бұрын
I cringed every time you used the air can. That can blow the dust in and when it contacts oil it creates a gummy mess and it will cost most people a trip to the repair store to fix.
