The traditional way of cleaning your garden path in Greece is to gently scrub it with an octopus. The octopus contains its own source of soap and readily foams up nicely lifting all the dirt out of your path. Fortunately, it also tenderises the octopus really well and leads to a delicious recipe for Octopus Stew.

In this video, you'll see Andreas cleaning the path in a traditional Greek way - with an octopus! Yes, you heard that right. They're using an octopus to scrub the path clean. Why? Well, according to tradition, it's the best way to clean a path. To tenderize the octopus, they first beat it (either 40 or 100 times, they're not quite sure) and then scrub it with water for hours until it gets soapy frothy. When the froth turns brown and then pink, it's nearly done. They've been at it for about half an hour and it looks like it's finally finished.
Now it's time to cook and eat the octopus because it's big week. Andre acknowledges that some people might not be too pleased with their methods, but he was given the octopus and he doesn't want to waste it. Plus, he believes octopus is very good to eat. So, they're going to cook every part of it and enjoy their unconventional but effective path-cleaning technique. Join them on this unique and entertaining journey!
