I had no idea I could take my Keurig apart and clean it like this. I've had my Keurig for 1.5 years and was tired of having grounds in my coffee. Sooooo glad I came across this video today! Just cleaned my Keurig and descaled it and the water is back to being clear with no grounds. Thank you so much! :)

This was very helpful - my question to the Keurig Company is this: Why the HECK aren’t these instructions in the owner’s manual? Do you want us to buy a new machine whenever the unit fills up with coffee grinds?
@lovesmice67266 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing Mike. This has been so very helpful. My Keurig was really gunky and I had no idea how to clean it. Was afraid I'd have to take it in for cleaning. Then I searched KZbin and found your video. I just took it apart and cleaned it. Thank you so very much. I'm really pleased.

Thank you for a very simple and thorough tutorial. I was afraid to try taking it apart, so although I've descaled regularly with vinegar the brew cup area was really gross! The cup I brewed after the cleaning was delicious! Lastly I appreciate that you didn't waste time in the video with a lot of small talk. Got right to the point.

Thank YOU SO MUCH for this video! About a month ago our Keurig started brewing slowly. We followed the troubleshooting instructions in the manual, bought a $13.00 bottle of descaling solution and it was fine. A few days ago, it started brewing slowly, etc., so we did everything, bought another bottle of descaling solution and it didn't work. We weren't sure what to do. I followed your instructions and it works like a charm now!

Thank you for your stellar video. After 2.5 years our Keurig 2.0 quit dispensing, period. I had read about using a paper clip to clean the needles, but I wasn’t sure how to do it. I followed your method (disassembling and cleaning) and the unit now functions like new. Great job especially working one handed!

I didn't know there was a needle in the lower unit. Keurig use to have a cleaning video but evidently took it off. They did not show the bottom needle. They did recommend using vinegar to clean. I was reading comments on this; some say their Kuerig stopped working so I diluted the vinegar with water to clean. Worked well. Thanks Mike for the added info.

Thanks for the video! I was ready to raise hell with KEURIG for making a product that that only lasted 5 weeks before water just dripped out but your informative video resolved my issues. The way I see it KEURIG should put you on their payroll! If you figure 166,000 plus views saved them a lot of time and money! Thanks again.

I liked this model best because of the ease of cleaning the needle! I usually take very good care of them though; descaling it every 4-6 weeks! However, I usually buy a new every 2-3 years unless I have issues with them, then Keurig sends me a new one!

Thank you for the video. I just wanted to check out someone else's perspective of descaling. one point for you...decaying removes harmful deposits from the heating element, which could destroy your Keurig. I did have a problem with mine a while ago, it went from about 60 seconds to two minutes. they sent you a cleaning cup in the packaging (it's orange and clear). there are coffee deposits that build up on the needles, slowing and interfering in the brew process. May I suggest that. Yes, you may feel spoiled (the word I think you were looking for), but I'd rather #firstworldproblems over the alternative. I've been fortunate enough to see parts of the world; we have it good, mate.
