The old peco wheel cleaner used to have a brush and a scraper for the other side for current

Yeah you have to buy them separately now, I was too stingy!! :)

Hi, nice little cleaning tool, you certainly could see the difference before and after. I have a cleaning tool that sits on the track and has two rows of the cleaning wires (similar to the tip of the tool you used) so you just sit your loco on top. The Peco one you used is probably better in the fact that you can see the wheels as you're cleaning them. John

Hi John, yeah I'm glad you could see the difference, I was trying to shine a light but was very hard to make it come out on my phone camera. I think if my fleet gets bigger then maybe a ride on would also make sense. But for now I'm happy with it, not everything in our hobby is expensive :). And this works well! Thanks for the view and the nice comment.

Hi there Great video demo i brought the Peco wheel cleaning set i think the only part i really use is the loco cradle, I find it easier to clean my wheels is to lay a J cloath over the track and hold the loco on top with it running while it cleans the wheels also good for cleaning you rolling stock.

Thanks Peter, yeah I haven’t fixed on exactly how I’ll do rolling stock going forward, there are a few options, I like your idea, will give it a try, my fleet is still small so I can do labour intensive ones easy enough.... When I have 100 locos might need to go for something more automated :) . thanks for your view and very constructive comment. Cheers!

Hi Derek I have been toying with getting the dapol one, it seems to have reasonable reviews. For now I am using my wife's old dyson hand held, it does a good job, but I'm still trying to work out how I'm going to get under my mountains with it...
