I’ve only had my 700FB for 2 weeks, 3 cooks: steak (flubbed bad! 🤦🏻‍♂️), whole chicken (nailed it!) and steelhead trout. VERY pleased with purchase. Was amazed how much gunk can be produced though. Your video helped me do an easy clean up for sure. Took me roughly 20 minutes to do a moderate, in-between job. Thx a ton from Texas!!!

Great video! The only thing I do differently is take the deflector out and place it onto some newspaper before scraping. Then just dispose of the newspaper with all the ash and debris. Otherwise, this is a very important part of taking care of your pellet grill. Again, great video - thank you!

At 450 degrees for 15 minutes or so b4 cleaning. Burns all the grease, including grills into char. No grease to deal with, everything cleans off easily. Also, get all the ash/char off inside of door. Good vid.

To make clean up easier, put foil on the deflector plate, when you are done your smoke, all you have to do is throw away the foil! and it will be clean underneath.

Since I scrape my grill before every cook, it rarely ever gets dirty. I have thought about the foil, but it probably takes just the same amount of time to cut the foil and wrap the deflector plate as it does for me just to scrape it. I have to vacuum the ash pot anyways, so the bits I scrape off, just gets sucked up by the vacuum.

Very helpful thanks! I bought mine second-hand, and it looks like they have the deflector place assembled wrong!

I've had my grill for about 2 years now and I'm realizing I have a lot of black Grease that has built up on the inside and on the lid. I can fix the lid very very easily but what's the best way to get a good chunk of that built on burnt on grease on the inside of the smoker.

Could we just line the broiler plate with aluminum foil?

I have a problem with burn coming back into the pellet box .. I clean it and sometimes I get the problem .. It seems to be on the lower temps when I just want the smoke .. Got any ideas ?? Thanks

I'm sorry that's happened to you. I've personally never experienced that, so unfortunately I can't be of any help with that one.

With the pellets burning in the one area, do you find it’s hot in just one area?

Curious why do the paint brush? Why not just shop vac it?

Anyone can do it any way they prefer. I prefer to sweep all the dust and ash into a pile and then vacuum the pile. It's just easier, plus the end result looks cleaner to me.

me again..lol where or is there a spot to catch grease ?...
@grillinwithv4028
@grillinwithv4028 3 жыл бұрын
The grease is caught by the broiler plate that is on a slight angle that drains it to the right side of the grill into a grease bucket that hangs off the outside. I only ever change that when it's completely full. It takes awhile.
