Oh yes. . . . Growing up we always had witch hazel in the house. I never realized until I grew up with a itchy scalp how wonderful it is. Plus my doctor told me to never use peroxide on my skin, and I found out witch hazel is good on cuts AND skin breakouts . It is wonderful, inexpensive and does not burn an “owie” . . . .LOL

If you mean in an official study then no, I don't think so. I just go from my own experience. My own hair is 4b, I made a few videos years ago on my personal channel which you can check out here kzbin.info but be warned, I don't really make hair content there any more.
