Sorry man but why wouldn't you run gun wash through it first, spray it out/ gargle it and then do this whole pulling of the gun.
@SteS4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'm just a novice but I was told by a someone 20 years in the game to do that. Back spraying really helps. For anyone wanting to know. Fill the thinner in the cup, leave the lid off, spray through a bit and hold your finger over the nozzle. It'll blow backwards helping dislodge paint.
@customspraymods12 жыл бұрын
Nah, you only want to grease the back part of the needle. This part wont contact the paint.

Yes that is fine. In all our videos we use the same gun for base and clear

most important thing is actually to wear gloves that will not tear so easily when using Laquer Thinner or other cancer-causing thinners. I got hand dermatitis while doing the same mistake. These chemicals can burn you for good. Be careful mate.

what a nonsense to take the whole gun apart, because al parts wil wear out that way. Just put some thinner into the pot, shake well, empty it, repeat that a few times, then unscrew the air cap until it almost drops off, then ad some more thinner and hit the trigger and the air wil blow the thinner right back into the gun and pot, and empty it. Repeat that a few times, and at last screw the aircap back on, and blow the whole gun trough with some more thinner and your done.

Say you spray on a coat of paint, and you have to let the paint dry for 10-15 min. Will the paint in the little wholes of your gun also dry? So would you need to clean it after each coat? Also, do you need to clean your gun when switching to a different kind of paint? Like primer to base to clear. Obviously the container will need to be cleaned, but for the rest of the gun could you just spray it onto some paper or something to clear out the old paint? There seems to be obvious answers for some of these, but I just want to make sure.

No, the paint does not travel through or near the fluid needle. The paint is dispensed at the very tip of the fluid needle
@eebarreto6 жыл бұрын
He forgot the must important cleaning procedure! compress air to blow out the gun holes and paint chamber! Vaseline not good idea to lube the paint tip shaft! you have and O ring that pin goes through, It is better just clean tip shaft with any silicon lubricant or WD40 and wipe clean.

This a great video. I just bought a couple mid range HVLP guns and never really new how to properly clean the guns, since I always used the cheap harbor freight guns and didn't care much. One thing I will say. This guy need to get himself some good chemical resistant nitrile gloves like Black Mambas. That thinner just ate those cheap latex gloves up
