Bloody Ruby it worked lol. Honestly. I brush and rinsed with the Therabreath brand. scraped my tongue with a little metal scraper and was surprised ( but happy) at the gunk that came off. Breath smelled significantly better

stick the brush in your mouth and brush in one direction not back and forth on the back. pull the brush against the tongue in the direction of the mouth. do it in short bursts and you wont gag
