For those of u that are wondering if this will affect ur console, don’t worry it won’t. My ps5 took forever trying to load onto games then I cleared the cache and it was up and running again like brand new. Highly recommend this video if anyone’s ps5 is laggy. 😃

I always go for rebuild database first, because that's what ps5 is doing on its own from time to time. It's automatic.

Also there is another simple way: completely turn off your PS5 or PS4 than unplug the power cord for at least a minute that should clear the cache of the consoles

Fun fact: I made my PS5 run so fast by doing this that it has gone through the space-time continuum to the future and now I have to wait to get my PS5 back in the future when the chip shortage is under control and I can actually find a damn PS5 to buy! I never experience this when playing my ps4 games on my 2tb 860 evo ssd extended storage with 2gb dram cache. Sony is truly very stupid for not having dram cache on their so called ultrafast ssd.

When you have completely shut down your PS5 (wait until its light is off), _PRESS_AND_HOLD_ the power button at the PS5's front panel until you hear a second beep. Then it should boot into safe mode, where you are asked to connect a controller with USB cable, press the Playstation button on the controller, and then you'll get into the menu, where you can select option 5, and then first the clear cache and after another reboot the rebuild database option. Hope this helps.

Mine does the exact same thing but i found out why. Its because your console is getting too hot. Mine was doing it when i had it behind my tv so it got very hot but as soon as i moved it it dosnt happen anymore. Also make sure to clean out all the dust that helps to avoid it turning off too
