Shelly and Mike, this was a very interesting video for me to watch. As a child, I never got to help, or watch, when mom and dad clipped our chickens' wings. As an adult, I've never raised chickens or turkeys, so I never learned how to do this. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with those of us who didn't have a clue. Ha Ha! You got that one right, I have seen a lot of people clip the flights on both wings, then wonder how their birds can still fly, they have to use full revs and take a run, but they can get off the ground as they have equal lift from both sides, now you can demonstrate how to keep your hens from running away by wrapping a tape around their legs, that will keep them from moving from where you put them. I clipped mine and put a fence 46" high, my two leghorn chickens can fly high enough to get up on top rail then off I am thinking maybe didn't cut them back far enough
