This is my FAVORITE extensions video by far and I think I have racked up hundreds. I have learned so much from your hair tutorials and I genuinely thank you. I got extensions and my hairdresser highlighted them the same colors as my highlights. She also layered the wefts closest to my face so the layers blend - just as you did. I, too, found I needed a weft or 2 more towards my bottom so I found a second set that matches my lowlights. By doing what you did with the 2 clip close to your hairline at my part (just under my part) my extensions blend so much more beautifully. I finally worked up the nerve to wear them to work and they look so nice that people's jaws dropped. Even though I am novice still learning to style mine I am having fun wearing them. Thank you so much. I did one of those at home keratin straightening treatments a while back but didn't read the part where it said not to do if you have ever bleached you hair. Well, long story short... I had to chop my hair to my ears. It has grown out some now, thank god, and is about your natural length. I've seen other videos on how to put in extensions when you have longer hair and it just did not work quite right with my length. I finally found your video and it has helped tremendously.

I have short hair and have tried quiet a free times to put my extensions in and I can't get them to blend at all. I think I have 6-8 pieces. my hair is thin, light moving hair so the wind blows it around a lot. over even gone to a couple salons where I live to blend my hair and extensions even if to thin and layer my hair and they made things worse so I have to wait until my hair grew out a bit more to try again. I've had to get new extensions due to how the salons cut and styled my hair and the extensions... help. my hair is about Tue length in my photo but is all blonde.

Try to put them a little lower and barely bat comb the hair above the extensions. I also have super thin hair and that's how I make it look okay

Don't put them too high if your hair is not thick enough to cover them I can put them all the way up and you won't see them bc I have thick hair so if you have thin hair or medium to thin out them a bit lower

@halonaful I use more than one set of extensions and I sew them together to get longer wefts. The shorter and thicker your hair is the more hair you will need to help conceal the extensions. Mine aren't the same as just a pack of hair you purchase at the store, I re sew them to fit all the way around my head.

@JustKelsieee you hold your hair if you need to brush it and start from the bottom as you should do to prevent damage of natural hair anyways. They are attached to your hair near your scalp, they don't come out unless you unclip them. They are not suppose to be permanent, you take them out and put them in day to day.

@lilGoewie nope, its actually pretty quick and easy, I even have a video on it! All you do is brush your hair out to get any knots, unclip all the clips first which takes like ten seconds then hold them as if you were going to put a ponytail in and slowly alide them out all at the same time. This also keeps them in order for the next time you want to put them in.

@xXxRedBambixXx yes, i have a video called "how ro make your extensions last forever" also, just because the hair says it's human hair, doesn't necessarily mean it's remy. When it is just human hair, the cuticles can be running in different directions and they are allowed to sneak some synthetic hair in there so it shivels! The easiest way to destroy extensions quixkly is to straighten them :(

Wow, I'm amazed how flawless the extensions blended in. I'm thinking of trying this. A couple months ago my daughter (she didn't understand not to do this, haha) gave me a surprise "haircut" right on the back of my head. I had to have it all cut to blend in. It used to fall to the middle of my back, and now my hair is less than shoulder length. I miss having long hair.. to play with or pull back in a ponytail, etc.

a good tip i just learned at the bottom or "kitchen area" of your hair you can braid or twist your hair and bobby-pin it so the short hair at the bottom doesn't stick out, so you won't have to put the clip ins that low. this video was helpful cause i use to put the little clip ins at the bottom of my head, so imma try the way you did. thank you :)

@bpawka It actually flows more naturally with more wefts. If I use thicker but less wefts you can see my short hair in between the wefts when I shake my head. My hair is fine, so the flatter the wefts the better to blend and conceal with my hair. Heavier wefts put more stress on each row that you clip in and are more damaging especially on fine hair. I have tried many ways of doing this & from years of experience, this is for sure the most natural looking and comfortable I have found.

I really like your idea of making your own wefts that wrap around your whole head like that..I think that is the key when you have short hair. I bought long extensions and I always have to put my hair in a pony tail because it just doesnt look right when its open and straight, and I have thick hair and my bottom layer never blends in!!

@Choochyify I think you might just need a couple more rows (if you can fit them) If you have thick hair it might be a good idea to do a few more rows but doubling the wefts if you prefer. It's different for every hair type so it is really hard for me to judge unless I touch and see your hair :(

I am glad you made this video. I have the same haircut and I saw someone else do a short hair video on extensions and she did such a bad job that I wasn't going to order them. Since seeing you do it, now I may actually order them since they can look ok. Would you suggest two packs of hair that come with seven wefts each and what is the maximum length you would suggest for the length of hair you have as mine is the same length? Thanks! :)

@kidgoperfect I haven't heard good things about luxyhairextensions. And, I haven't used these foxylocks extensions in over a year. I use Lush Locks and I am very happy with them. Thanks anyways.
