I really appreciate your videos. I watch many garden channels, but I don’t recall any showing videos on seed collecting. Thank you! ❤

Thanks so much for your encouragement and support. 💓 I really appreciate it. 🙏 I love collecting seeds and showing my gardening friends how to do it plus how to plant those seeds. 😊🌸

I’ve got many perennial geraniums and have previously just divided them. Now I’m curious about their seeds. The closeups were especially helpful, thank you!

You're so welcome! I will definitely divide mine this Fall but I want to experiment with growing it from seed as well. It'll be interesting to see how that goes. 😊🌸

@@budgetgardeningvita experimenting is fun. I really only got into propagation last year but have found it to be quickly addictive, interesting, rewarding, and magical all wrapped up together. It feels like alchemy 🥰

I bought annual geranium seed last year and was stunned at how easy they were to grow. I am collecting their seed this fall when I see fuzzy white fluff on the end of those spikes you showed. I have hardy geraniums but have never collected (or even noticed!) their seed. I am going to try this too!

I'm so glad to hear that you'll be collecting seeds from both types of geraniums. One thing to try is to overwinter your annual geraniums bare root. I made a video showing how to do it . The reason I suggest this is you may end up with a much larger plant. I think it's worth trying both methods as an experiment. But I agree with you that starting annual geraniums from seed is easy and also fun. Happy gardening, friend! 😊🌸
