Interesting perspective, I hadn't seen it before but it makes perfect sense. My question is, when you have newly updated version of each of those projects, can you use the Import>Update Current Project feature? Also, how do you status (F9) the IMS? Do all three projects have the same Data Date in this case?

That will be concedered as one project. In ms project it considered sub project status update as different. In P6 all WBS project will Scheduled ok one data date.

Why this much hassle ??? Open all projects in p6 - go to WBS view - copy the WBS from one to other - done

I was expecting this type of question. The video is about the combination of projects and an integrated master schedule. Yes, you can copy and combine the project in WBS, What if some activities haven't been assigned WBS? What if they have only activity codes? I know activities under WBS having activity codes will be copied. But if you have only activity codes assigned, No WBS assigned then what’s next? Projects don't use only WBS. Now secondly, the video is about the Integrated master schedule. While combining different projects the activity ID should not be changed. I hope you know standard coding practices are strict to ID numbering. While project monitoring a single activities ID should not be changed. Even you cannot even remove an activity ID in some practices. Identification is most important in scheduling and its first step. So, when you copy from WBS the Activity ID cannot remain the same. If you close the project, it will be not copied. Now third one the project calendars are very specific. When you copy new activities from WBS. The activities will assign calendars that are project default. It means that calendars will be not copied. what f different calendars are assigned in the project, you can imagine what can happen a complete disaster in your scheduling dates. if you know how calendrer is important in P6. In short calendars are not copied at WBS level. Same impact for resource-dependent and task-dependent. I hope it’s enough for your knowledge. There are more reasons to follow the Hussle practice. I don't say that you are wrong but your knowledge is limited to some practices. It does not work globally. Your comment was interesting. 😄

Hi , I tried to contact you via Telegram, I couldn't, the ID couldn't be found. My question is how we can see BL unit% , BL duration % in P6. I have a sample plan , I have assigned resource , assigned baseline and after updating ( actual start , relevent percent complete, duration type or unit type) why see BL unit% and BL duration % as zero (0). I have assigned non linear resource to my activity , how can I show although we have passed 50% of time but plan ( which field to be considered BL unit/duration % , schedule %). Schedule % is always linear isn't it ? But I need some information to we have spent 50% of time but plan is 70% for example. Thanks in advance.
