You need to throw the minions directly towards Wanda for this to work. Knocking them towards the other minions makes them too far apart for the Hex Bolt.

Like some said below, maybe this has changed in patches, but if you follow the video, your last Hex bolt won't reach. You need to pull both towards Wanda so that it will.

Just did the challenge. Pulling the minions towards you is the way. For some reason that dude on the left cooperates when doing it thos way instead of the video. Must be a weird patch.
