This is my old car! I bought it in San Diego with ~60k miles on it in 2013 and owned it for at about 6.5 years before replacing it with a 996 C4S. It was my commuter in law school. I did the IMS, ATE rotors, lower dash delete, gt3 style seats, H&R springs, alpine stereo, and the z-top (early version and the quality wasn’t that great) crazy to see it show up on KZbin. I am enjoying watching your build. Just so you know it has been tracked at Willow Springs, Chuckwalla, and Lagina Seca, and even driven to Pikes Peak from Ca to watch the hill climb. Always ran motul and regularly flushed the brake system.. subscribed

What a small world! Great little car. And we really appreciate the extra information. I still have the paperwork on the IMS repair, it got totaled at some point in its past. Did you know anything about that?

No, it must have happened after I owned it.. I sold it in 2019 I think. it must have been repainted after it got damaged as well, because the paint was looking pretty tired when I sold it and looks pretty nice now. I guess you have the records from Eurospec, which is now closed, but I believe that they also replaced the air oil separator with an updated oem version, and replaced some of the pulleys. Not much else was really needed in my 70k miles of ownership. I miss this car and am seriously considering building another one 😊

Yeah it’s been repainted basically all over. It’s not very good paint still but it works for a race car. Apparently a lady owned it at some point and she backed it into a pole. Just enough to get into the rear wing and that totaled the car. We picked it up with just over 130k. A lot has happened to it since you owned it.
