How to connect a Water Pressure Switch to a Water Pump?

In this video, we are going to show you how to connect and install a PEARL pressure switch to a water pump. However, this procedure could be used in others brands as well. For this example, we used a Square D pressure switch
As always follow all safety precautions when working with any water pumps, water pump accessories, or water pump components.
Make sure the power is disconnected.
You would need several items:
- Pressure Switch
- Connecting Nipple
- Electric cables
- Tools
0:23 Removing a Water Pump Cover: We will begin by removing the water pump’s cover.

Then, proceed to remove the cable gland and nut by turning it counterclockwise.
0:48 Replace with the connecting nipple and nut, so you have access to the water pump.
1:20 For this example we are using a Square D Pressure Switch
1:41 Attach the Pressure switch to the connecting nipple, secure, and tighten.
2:10 Insert the connection cables, lose nuts as shown, and connect the cables to the motor. Keep in mind the color code. Then connect the cables to the pressure switch. Follow the color code.
2:40 Insert power cables in the pressure switch and connect them, following color code.
3:57 Reinstall pressure switch cover.
4:05 Reinstall the pump cover
