When using three phase- Just connect all the three phases to phase failure L1 L2 L3 and the neutral When using single phase- connect live wire to P and then you bridge or short or loop P to any of the three phase terminal, it can be P- L1,P -L3 or P-L2. and of coarse the neutral. Gteat content ! However, I have one concern with the setup. What protection is there against the possible of either armature of the generator or main contactor becomes jammed ? I see that the interlocking NC and NO switches on contactors are for sensing the position of each contactor. Wouldn't a seizure of armature prevent the transfer ?

Dear Electreca Why do we need relays for mains and gen when we can directly connect the DC point to energize mains and gen contactor respectively directly and now have to worry about extra relays? NO/NC of contactor can be used for electrical interlock so why need relay at all?

Yes, indeed you can do away with relays for small circuits, however, if you are dealing with contactors rated at 100A and above you need relays the timer may fail to hold such a high-rated contactor for a long. thanks for watching
