This is incredibly convoluted. In this century for the dongle not to have blue tooth is almost a tease. I got the Roku to try out and as a device in many ways it's much better than the Firestick. But the inability to pair directly to the Roku device is a deal breaker for me..

@@Amzeeel It didn't work. It works with KZbin's app from my Android phone but not through Roku. When I hit the headphone icon on the Roku remote it just toggles between the TV speakers and the phone speakers, never to the onn earbuds. I have Bluetooth turned on

Yes it still works because sound is transferred to your headset until you decide to disconnect it.

It's better to get such info from the manufacturer website, they have all details because this app is available only in very limited countries. I don't know if they charge a fee for it in other countries, but it says free on their portal. I use it in my phone without a fee.

Hi, turn off your TV, turn it back on and try again. You don't have to enable anything on settings, just install the Roku app

@@Amzeeel I think our TiVo service might have something to do with this issue. I have the Roku app on my iPad and when I try to connect to the microphone it says you cannot connect to HDMI input TIVO. The remote in the iPad also has a red line across the microphone

Roku streaming devices all have same interface except for Roku televisions that have extra coaxial to connect an antenna. If you mean the app. The Roku app works for all Roku devices as shown in the video. Just make sure your phone and Roku are connected to the same wifi connection.

Hi, no not for cable in the video. This is only for Roku devices because we're using a Roku app. You can also do this on any other TV or devices if the device has a Bluetooth option because headphones connect through Bluetooth. Try this if you have an Android Box for , example
