❤Rachel. Thank you so much. I have a tv in my basement “man cave” that I watch when my wife and I each want to watch something different. The furnace nearby always interfered when it kicked in. This solved that issue and the sound is so much better. I wish I’d heard of this sooner.

Thanks I’ll try this out! P. S. TCL isn’t the only manufacturer of TVs with Roku built in. Others are Sharp, Westinghouse, Phillips, Onn.

Another way to connect to TV is with a Digital/Analog converter connected to a BT transmitter. This allows you to listen via your hearing aids while others still hear the normal TV audio. I bought both the converter that connects to the Digital Audio Output on TV and includes required cables and BT transmitter on Amazon for about $27.

Thank you for the information. Making television enjoyable again is one thing i am looking forward to. Television has been more of a struggle the last 6. months. The setup i am using makes it difficult to relax and watch television. 😢I have been watching shows on my tablet because it’s easier to sit close to the speaker and go to a quiet room. It will be nice to watch on a bigger screen . I have used the captions for years whether I could hear and understand the television or not . I will probably use captions anytime they are available.

Rachel, Great video! I'm using a Resound Multi-Mic & connecting it with an Aux cord & streaming directly to my $1600 Costco Jabra Enhance Pro 20 hearing aids. This works great with my TV & both of my laptops with the added benefit of not needing more than one accessory!

Best to mention that only sound streamed thru the Ruko can be heard via the app to hearing aids. IE sound from broadcast source or DVD player will not be heard.

Thank you for the great information about Roku. I have Connect Clip that I use with my Oticon More 1 hearing aids. I use it to stream from my computer to the hearing aids. Will the sound quality be the same if I get a Roku to connect to my TV? Do you think the quality would be the the same with if I used the Oticon TV adaptor? I understand the advantage of using the Oticon adapter when watching with more than one person, but I am more concerned about getting the best quality. Thanks for another fantastic video.

Thanks for this great info. We have several Roku devices and I did not know this. I’m setup and streaming into my Phonak Marvel now. 👍 I enjoy watching your videos, especially the ones on conditions that cause hearing loss. Have you covered the subject of a Cholesteatoma in any of your previous videos.?

this is great! I have a Phonak TV link for upstairs but I can use this technique when I am on the treadmill downstairs. The treadmill noise makes it really difficult to hear dialog and I depend on subtitles to watch anything

I am reasonably sure that it would, because I stumbled across this trick one day when just playing with the Roku app, and was surprised when I pushed that button because I had no special setup, just the basic Roku setup. I love Rokus.

I suggest you see an ENT rather than trying to use you tube to fix your problem. I suspect Rachel and Dr. Cliff would say the same.
@rachaelcookaud2695 Жыл бұрын
Hi, Shaarif. Although these symptoms are not uncommon, I always recommend an in-person evaluation with an audiologist or Ear Nose and Throat specialist who can assess your symptoms and give you a proper diagnosis if you are worried about your ears, hearing, or tinnitus.

There are a lot of hearing aids that can stream. If you have an iPhone you should make sure any hearing aids you get are “MFI” (made for iPhone), which makes standing with them easier. You can get hearing aids online, from a local hearing aids store or audiologist, or at Costco. This channel is a good source of info about which brands are good.
