Tip: Dont use Apple headphones, because the headphone jack won't work with the controller. You can hear but you can't talk into the headphones. Any other brand will work.

thanks man! a tip for you guys: if you select "stereo uncompressed" in HDMI audio (instead of turning it off), you'll get the game audio to continue coming out of the TV, with only the teammates' voices coming out through the earphone, which is better in case you have an earphone that's not too good (like me). That way you'll communicate with your teammates through the bad earphones (which is not a problem if you're just using it to listen to your teammates voices) and still listen to the game through the TV... (using only one side of the earphones just for communication is better because you'll be able to also listen to the tv)

Hello. We bought wireless headphones and they lacked proper instructions on how to do this once the headphones are charged. If you want to use wireless, download the xbox app on your phone and connect that to your air pods. Only downside is that you can't play with ps4 players.
