So using the steps you outlined, you can have the phone app connected to the dash cam AND use Android auto at the same time?
@SafeDriveSolutionsАй бұрын
no you can not connect to both. Do you need to be connected to both? The dash cameras we offer are independent and record to their own SD card.

Hello Ted. Thank you for your video. Very informative. But I am still a bit confused. I have a 2023 Ford F-150 which came equipped with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. I have a Motorola Power G 2024 5G, which is of course, Android. After following your steps of turning off Android Auto, I was able to see the image on my phone, which is great. But after turning Android Auto back on, my phone is once again showing ... "Connecting". So, does this mean I will never be able to use the dash cam without disabling Android Auto? I understand the images are probably being recorded on the card, but it sure would be nice to be able to show the images immediately on my phone should I ever have a need to do so. I forgot to mention earlier, my dash cam is a Fitcamx. Thanks again for a very informative video! Wayne

The dash camera will still record independently to the sd card. Even if your phone was connected to the dash camera it will not record to your phone anyways. You would still need to login to the unit and download the videos.

@@SafeDriveSolutions Thanks for the clarification, Ted. Again, a very good video.

I have Samsung s24 and drone dashcam xc, I'm facing the same difficulty connecting the wifi of the dashcam and my phone. Always it says connection failed. When I go to the dashcam up settings it brings up T-Mobile and says connect but still can't connect.

Never used a Drone XC so not sure how that works

well then only other option is you said no to one of the permissions on your app. delete your app. redownload and make sure all permissions are accepted.

My problem is saying I don't have internet access while connected to the wifi
@SafeDriveSolutions2 ай бұрын
your dash camera does not have internet access. there is no sim(Cellular) card in the dash camera. The Wi-Fi only allows your smartphone app to pair to dash camera
@Kamamel0n2 ай бұрын
@@SafeDriveSolutions my problem is, if someone breaks into your car steals the dashcam, you wouldn't be able to see the video, because the device would no longer be connected to the phone since the guy took it and it's not in range right?
@SafeDriveSolutions2 ай бұрын
@@Kamamel0n That is not how 99% of dash cameras work. There are a few that work that way. Blackvue has some LTE dash cameras which require a sim card and monthly service.
