Awesome informative video. It give me idea for next project. To intergrate the tx module to non opentx radio by using ppm to crsf adapter. To bind they say it can use the bind option on the tx module menu.

I know this is an 1 year old video, but have a question: does the AFHDS2A fly sky receiver still works with it? I saw on firmware page that it's been added. If so, how do you pair it? Thanks!

No after you flash it and add the ELRS it gets rid of the AFHDS2A and the usb port on the back of the remote won't work for simulators

@@johnship7389 That is an issue with ELRS. I would look up another video on how to fix that. Or reach out to the ELRS team on discord. They are really helpful there. Like is it not communicating with each other? Are they both powered on?

@@birdyfpv correct, both are powered up but script continues to say loading. I have a ground to the i6x board and lead to tx2, and separate 6volt battery supply to the tx unit. I was now wondering if the tx2 wire might be too long but I am now overthinking it because I have been trying it for several days with no success. Starting to think the anion unit might be defective although it the menus work and the message is ,no radio. Now I am using the fsi6x on the simulator while my newly built 5” is configured and ready except for the radio controller,lol. I ordered a different Tx unit which should arrive ina week and I guess that will rule out if it is the aion unit. Your video was great, just hoping I am not missing something stupid since I am only working on fpv for a few weeks now and still learning

I also tested continuity on the tx2 wire, checks out. I tried changing baud rates on the radio, no luck

@@BruceDJames baud rate should matter to much. Does the controller seem to work without the aion connected? Obviously not connecting. But the menus look all correct?

No it shouldn't. The TX2 pad is a signal pad. It shouldn't be connected to a ground

I am not sure haven't looked into it. I think if you have a spektrum remote with a model bay on it. I don't see why you couldn't
