My friend, I recently purchased this identical mixer from ali=express. I bought this believing that it can be used as an interface as well. According to the seller and all the reviews, it doesn't need a separate interface. It hasn't arrived yet. Curious to know, if this is connected straight to the laptop, will in\t acknowledge separate channels? I'm needing one channel for guitar and the other for mic.

well and clearly explained only what should you do if your audio interface only has a mic/line 1 input and inst 2 (for instruments) e.g. the u-phoria umc 22 then it is not possible to do left and right when i use a orchestra wants to record with all their equipment at the mixer (without usb) with audio interface is there a solution for that?

In tht case you connect all the things to line mixer then take the line mixer output and use it as an input to ur audio interface...like u connect ur mics..guitars keyboards to mixer then use the mixer output as an input to audio interface..very similar to what i did in this video..

I have virtual dj on my laptop..if I come out via usb from the laptop could it be connected to the mixer via usb to play backing tracks..I've been told that when you come out from the laptop via usb the sound is better instead of using the headphone socket on my laptop.

When you sing on the microphone on one side, the parallel output is coming from the studio monitor . So the voice from your microphone gets recorded .. won't the sound from the studio monitor not go through the same microphone in use ?

For nundo you may need an audio interface...bcos all sw's may not recognize this plug and play line mixer...
