I used to work for this company. It should work if your opener is one of the newer models with WI-FI Capability. Otherwise you would need to call customer service so that they can send you one of the hubs to help with Wi-Fi access.

Bro mine sets up a new wifi network with the garage door opener and kicks me off my internet and then can't connect because I'm now connected to the garage doors wifi

For those having issues after having wifi settings change or replacing their router. (YOU HAVE A YELLOW OFFLINE ERROR MESSAGE ON THE APP ) Hold the black button on the actual motor for 6 seconds toll kt beeps. After that plug it out and pymug it back in

This will work with any garage door opener. I switch my chamberlin for a precision door opener and it works fine.

Useful TIP which WAS NOT IN TROUBLESHOOTING - a FORCE clear of the Wifi password so you can reenter it if it repeatedly refuses to connect blinking blue or blue/green - Hold the rectangular button down ten seconds until it beeps multiple times. That USEFUL tip is what you need to know if it keeps failing.

@@Shawn-fu3mp you need WiFi to operate the app and myQ module in conjunction with the door position sensor on the door that communicates position to myQ. Once the command from app is entered the myQ sends wall switch open door code to the opener the opener receives cmd and moves the door to the desired position. WiFi is used with myQ and app Not the door opener. Tell me where this is not correct?

Couldn’t connect until I changed my iPhone WiFi setting to limit IP address setting to off, and set to none for private IP. I was able to connect right after that, but not sure which one caused the issue. Also after successful connection, I turned back on, and it still worked. I’m using Amazon account for my user login….

For those having problems getting it to work through the app there is a work around from tech support. I would post it here however it requires an external link (and one is not allow to post external links in comments); but if you contact tech support you could mention how to do the setup but by passing the app. Still need to use the app after the initial setup; but my issue was after entering the password for the network the app was not able to stay connected long enough for the "beeps" to indicate it had setup correctly. Everything was correctly setup for my network etc because the only thing I did different to get it to work was follow their instructions for by passing the app.

I have two chamberlain garage door openers for years being remotely controlled via the MyQ app, and it doesn’t work anymore. All of a sudden my configured MyQ app settings were wiped out and I can’t seem to make the MyQ app to work with my two garage doors anymore. Now both garage doors open and close at the same time. Seems no matter what I do I can’t each door to accept commands separately anymore.

They are programmed separately. Think the hub is no longer sending Unique instructions to differentiate between the two. Already had someone from myQ tell me what to try. It didn’t work. Think the hub has an issue.

The green LED is your network connection to the Internet. It will flash initially while establishing a connection, then after possibly several minutes (10?) it should be a solid green light. If you power down the gateway after a solid green light, you should get a green/blue LED flash on power up and then a solid green LED fairly quickly. When green is solid, press the left mouse button.

Oh boy! Realized yesterday that my opener is MyQ compliant (just moved to this house less than a year now)...spent a few hours yesterday. NO LUCK! I'm doing it right from the opener. I don't have any of the on-wall controllers shown in the app. The previous owner only had one of those generic beige/white keypads. Cannot find any videos that shows how to do it right from the unit! The app says to unplug the unit, plug it back in, press the yellow learn button 3 times, then the square learn light show blink and make a beeping sound, meaning it's ready to connect. Well, I tried a billion times but the blue learn light NEVER comes on! No beep! It still finds my unit, takes me to the wifi setup, but won't connect. After a while of this insanity, it no longer finds my unit. WTH?!?!?! Who's the saddist who designed this garbage?!?! Reading all the complaints here now makes me realize that I should probably NOT waste anymore time on this. Even if i manage to get it to work, I make end up encountering all sorts of random headaches after. Am I asking too much of companies to make/sell things that work? Amazon, Wyze, Microsoft, now Chamberlain...wasting my time to make their products work as advertised!

I called tech support and they walked me through a different way to connect through a website and not the app. Surprisingly it was helpful and the only way to get it working.

If it all worked that would be great. Mine will not connect to network, however it finds the garage door opener, just wont connect to network. I have a orbi mesh system, so double checked my wifi strength, excellent..... even tried disabling my 5ghz network so it is forced to use 2.4ghz... still won't connect. Piece of crap.
