Thank you for the tutorial. I am doing the same and things are fine, but when I close the camera and open it in another day I can't see the name of the camera in my mobile wireless list. Should I configure it each time? or I'm missing something?

hmmm you shouldn't have to configure every time. Is the name of the camera not coming up in the WiFi connections area on you mobile device? Make sure that there isn't an exclamation point by the blinking antenna symbol on the screen. if there is, turn off the camera, wait a few seconds and turn it back on.

This is a GREAT tutorial. If you cannot connect then you are missing something. Which is easy to do since connecting to a Canon camera's WIFI is horribly complex.

thanks mate i did have the connection but for some reason after not using the camera for a few months it wouldn't reconnect. cleared the settings and reconnected and now problem. i was going to take it back to canon. luckily I didn't do that.

When you click on 'Wifi function' it shouldnt be connected. And disable Wifi/NFC

This is the worse feature on the 5d! I think we got it to work once. I can’t believe they don’t have an update that fixes this pairing issue.

The problem is Canon Connect doesn’t work. It shows the connection but says Camera not connected. Works about 1 out of 10 times doing the same thing over and over. Very frustrated. I’ve wasted hours on this, doing every trouble shooting suggestion imaginable.

I didn't understand at first that the code the camera was giving me was a password, so I did manage to get it going after playing with it for a bit. But thanks for getting back to me. I didn't know that I could get it to also connect to my computer and not just my cell phone. Thanks for getting back to me though. That warrants a sub.

ok, i'm glad you got it to work. Just a little tip, i started shooting RAW a few months back and raw photos on instagram look way sharper different than JPEG.
