My 2 complaints are that Zello has a big delay (non-low latency), about 2 or 3 seconds, that's why their network. I had tried many others VOIP for Crosslink, the best one is Mumble, it has less then 1 second delay, perhaps it is because is self-hosted, and I have tried TeamSpeak 3 as well, but TS3 has about 1 and half second delay. 2nd complain is, for all VOIP for crosslink is, let's say when a person is talking from Zello to my repeater, and he makes a pause to catch his breath, the PTT is released on portable radio, or any radio connected to Zello. Do you have any fix for the PTT release?

If you are asking about the range from the handheld radio to the radio connected to zello, yes it is limited to the range between the two, for the zello, yes it is limited to your internet connection, if you are on wifi, then you are limited to the range of your wifi connection to your mobile phone, but zello also works on data, as long as you are on the area with data connection of your preferred network.

As her explained in the video, you cannot simply connect it the way you suggested. The issue is with the PTT connection.

It doesn’t work like that. You need ground loop isolator installed or the ht will stay keyed up. This solves that and also allows the vox to kick in before you speak. Without them you need to make some kind of noise before the box kicks in and begins to transmit.

This video has nothing to do with connecting to Zello. It has to do with connecting the radio to the phone so that way you can use Zello.
