@@sangeetharai4130 BTW, one of the examples I can think of concerns kids growing up near the Marina beach in the fishermen's community. I grew up in Triplicane, in which Marina Beach is located. It is a firsthand experiencing noticing the way by which those kids would handle situations compared to us. They would be willing to take it head-on! Perhaps, that resilience comes because they have to face a lot of hardships triggered by poverty and uncertainties. I have also been teaching at IIT Madras and I again see the sheltered kids' responses to the difficult (well, so called) they face in life. You are spot on in talking about resilience techniques that help not necessarily in terms of success but as a way of life to naturally ward off stress.
@sangeetharai41302 ай бұрын
@@iitmssiva It’s fascinating how environments shape resilience-those growing up amidst challenges often develop it naturally, while others may need to cultivate it intentionally. . Teaching at IIT Madras must give you such a unique perspective on this contrast. Thank you so much for sharing your experience!

My resiliency kit has helped me with balancing my home and life. I’d love to hear how your kit works out for you . Here are 3 tips to help balance work, home and everything between: ▪️Outsource: identify one thing that you do that can be transferred and taught to someone else. ▪️Tap into your network: ask guidance from someone who excels in a specific task that you are struggling with and request their advice. ▪️Let some things go: really let go of the need for everything to be perfect. It's alright if your bed isn't made impeccably or if not every toy is put away or even if you haven't gotten to the last email in your inbox (as long as it's not urgent). You'll be okay
