I’ve had social anxiety, Panic attacks, and insecurities for half of my life. I feel as is life isn’t worth living sometimes and it’s hard to think positive. But I am doing my hardest to find the lighter side to life. I am a mother of 2. One 6 and the other 3. They are happy, loving and positive children. Sometimes I can’t believe they are my babies they are so happy and they love me for me. This is why I am here. To find support and guidance to become better and love myself.

My anxiety, my depression, my stress 🤦🏻♂️, my eating disorder, it’s like a giant snowball effect... I’m depressed and I’m depressed because how much anxiety I have, because of my anxiety I stress, now my stress is affecting my eating 😖 I get full, not from “mmm” I mean I feel full, but I know having a bowl of cereal 🥣 ain’t enough... this has progressively gotten worse over the past week or two 🤐💭 my family I feel are too busy in their own life, to hear 👂 what I have to say, and I respect ✊ them too much to bother them to talk about my feelings of loneliness, my depression... my anxiety 🗣👉🏽🙇🏻♂️ god my anxiety is crushing! No matter how tough I am! My anxiety keeps me from being happy by making me over think things 💫 making up my reality before I’m even there in the present moment, I’ve already made it up in my mind, my cousin wont understand, that they won’t listen to me 👂😥... I don’t wish this on my worst enemy 🤕 I’m going to start believing in God 😇 I need to believe theirs something greater than myself out there, happy feelings to all who read this 👍🏽

I came across this today and it was really needed. I’m currently being evicted from my place as landlord is selling and there is a housing crises in my country so no places to go so I’m facing homelessness, I’ve just been diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis,found a lump and I felt like I hit rock bottom. I felt like giving up. But listening to this amazing woman explaining as to why I’m staying in this stressful state it made sense. All I was thinking about was what was going wrong for me and not looking around at what everyone else is going through and when I stopped and did I suddenly felt not so alone. In a strange way I finally felt hope. So thank you. This may very well have saved my life. And I truly hope it can do the same for anyone who is feeling this way. ❤

Very powerful speech! It is so true that many of us get caught up in "me, me, me" when we are going through a hard time. This is when we should be aware of how many people are having so many more problems than us, are truly suffering. I was feeling down a few weeks ago but I went to a fast-food coffee shop to buy gift cards for homeless people, if I met any through my day. I can't believe how happy I was the day that I bought them, I feel we need to be more selfless.
@rajaseethakre25984 жыл бұрын
In the middle of this speech, I started to tell my mom about how I am not able to focus on things and sentences people say and my mom said: "it's your psychological problem you are always so focused on what is happening and how you are reacting to it or how much of stress something in bringing to you." I was angry that her words were just hurtful to me and felt uncompassionate. Them Mrs Preethi came to the self-centric preoccupied part. I am blown here I confess I was always regretting the things that happened to me and the situations life put me into and all the wants and unsuccessful works..but now I am after the meditation know what being present means and allowing myself to do what is right and needful at the time to focus on.

The reason for your anxiety-Whenever u are scared(you must be scared of something , and you must be wanting to come out of it ), you feel it's controlling you and whatever you think you can't do or will happen, you start believing it and then you start fighting the feeling cause you don't like it obviously , but when you fight what u believe in, it just can't happen, you can't get eid of your anxiety this way. The solution- The first thing to feel is that you don't have to fight it, treat it as your friend who is trying to understand how your mind works(Believe that thinking like this will work, know it will).This relaxes you a bit. Now, just analyse every thing that you believe in related to whatever negative thoughts come to you or what you are scared off in other words, and ask yourself ,is it even real, what do you really think about the thing you are scared off(you will.get answers here), what could have made it what it is today(answer to that is over thinking and trying to fight what you believe,but try to find natural answers, what you think happened, the fear became big cause you made that a big issue,it is actually nothing but a thought), also if u find it is real and you can do something that makes fear go (like if you are fearful of going broke, plan for what you can do about it). Now happily do what you can if it is real, and happily do nothing if it's unreal, you have understood it is nothing but your imagination at extreme work). You will get better. Have fun.

Today i just found haters at my office. They love to spread bad rumors about me to anyone they close. One day people say greetings with you and after few days ago when those guys meet haters, they absent to talk with me without any reason. The haters spread hate like viruses of my life. Sometimes they did things so injustice with me and i can't even ague to them for my right. Because in the office the person who ague to others no matter what issues is... they will be judged by everyone without consideration about cause and context. After all of this I feeling so bad today and can't warm my heart again. But this video remind me what the Buddhist should do. Thanks to guide my inner peace.

I learnt many years ago the reason for our unhappiness is the stories we tell ourselves. We sit there, telling ourselves the terrible story of how he left me and how well that persons life is. We tell ourselves the story about the people who suffered 100 years ago and get upset about it, we tell ourselves how better this person and that person it etc etc We need to stop telling ourselves such stories. I try hard to live in the present and not to take myself to places that make me sad...why do that to yourself. It's all about retraining the mind.

Thank you for sharing and helping so many. Personally found it an oversimplification of the topic - "all your stress, unhappiness and anxiety is related to being self-centred" so all you have to do is "breathe and get out of your own head" basically. Some of what I've found more helpful is acknowledging and accepting my stress, unhappiness, and anxiety and practising self-compassion, journaling, and writing letters to myself full of love and understanding to quiet my inner critic. I have yet to find a person who can stop being so "self-centred" when faced with major life adversities, except for maybe a handful of spiritual leaders and avatars.

I just moved out from my childhood house to live in a boarding house for college. I've been feeling so alone, and uncomfortable in this totally new environment. I guess I'm just so used to having my loved ones around me, that it feels really strange to be completely alone. It gives me anxiety, and I'm still struggling with it, especially since it effects my academic performance, but I am working on it tho. Despite all that, I'm grateful that my family still looks out to me through phone calls and texts. I hope I can finally live in a beautiful state, and to anyone who's also struggling, please know that you're not alone, we are never alone in this. We just have to remind ourselves sometimes, because we can be unkind to ourselves. let's wipe our tears, and live another day :) let's find our beautiful state and cherish it. Lots of hugs from an anxious stranger🤗🤗

That is a lovely comment. I remember feeling the same when I went to university (from the UK, funnily I lived with Americans for 4 years. Apologies if I have made the wrong assumption when you said College) I never wanted to return after semester holidays for about 8 months. Fast forward to graduation and I never wanted to leave. It doesn’t make it easier but you will get through it. Change is hard. I have just moved to a new city away from friends and family. I am having the same feelings I had when I went to university/College again. It reminds me how difficult it is. Feeling lonely. Trying to remind myself of my previous experience. I wish you the best.

I really appreciate how this talk gave me insight into having a connection to myself and introspection without the need for religion. Let me explain further: I have understood for a long time that religious institutions employ this "technique of self reflection" as a proof of god to make one feel better about oneself. The freedom of letting go of religion gave me an overpowering sense of liberty of thought. I've learned over the years that that liberty left me deprived of community and a sense of belonging emotionally. My reptilic, limbic, and cortexic parts of my brain are still fighting to strike a balance but I'm thankful that these kind of talks can bring about the same derivitive of clarity and calmness as my religious self would have been relieved to have in the past. Thank you to the speaker and how we can use science to bring about peace of mind.

You can pull others out of holes because you were there. If and when you shall fall again you know the way out. The fruits of life will be sweeter and you will never do the sins committed against you. If you do than I hope you recognise it and stop. Cheers to healing, from a person that lived in a pitt for many years.

One said, enthusiasm is when we do things with passion and from all our heart. Fanatism is when we want others to do the same amount of things that we do. I learn how to ask myself whats my purpose? Why do I need others to be and do what I think they need to be or to do? Who am I to think so? What am I here for? Who needs my help? Am I capable of helping myself?

All the best dear. Its alright. Take your time. Take care of yourself. Pls get professional medical help if you have panic attacks.Being a doctor and an individual who suffered from extreme anxiety and panic attacks i know how it feels. Consider yourself as a little girl who need help. Dont compare yourself to others. Your story is yours and its going to be amzing. Take care. Love you ❤️

Hope you doing well mate . I'm also an individual who's going through anxiety flicks frequently. I don't feel like I'm in depression but my little friend circles always says I'm just being looking stumped out, and I ignore them always. But I feel anxiety to myself. Yeah, the same reason what all students goes through time

shes not wrong, because we are all constantly focused on what makes us different from the rest of the world. because we are taught that our differences are how we learn what makes us valuable. (comparison to our peer) everything we believe ourselves derives down to two simple concepts: “i am not enough” or “i am enough”- which IS preoccupied self obsessive thinking. think about it. all your self limiting beliefs derive to “i am not enough”. we really are capable of anything, if we can stop thinking about how it is only us that has to be in the circumstances we are facing- the reality is, we all are one in the same because our different paths (life circumstances) lead us to the same conclusions (emotional states of being).

Damn she is actually right. Wherever I feel stressed about my work I feel how am I gonna do all this work, or why didn’t i do this work before, or now Iam stressed what should i do, should i give up and watch my phone or since series on Netflix or videos on KZbin. Rather than doing this i just observe this process of self preoccupation and it genuinely helps.
