What are you afraid of 😧? Whether we admit it or not, all of us are afraid of something. How you deal with that fear will determine if you live life as a coward or a conquerer.

Encouraging conflict is opposite of the bibles teachings. He is leading men astray from their true destiny and purpose. You and this false prophet couldn't be more wrong. These are words of the state, not the lord or the Bible. Please know the difference.

I cannot agree. Enticing or looking for conflict is not the message of Jesus or the Bible. The fear part is a message from the state. They are trying to get men back onto the Plantation, for usery. Men know the situation and game. Stand firm.

This is one of those talks that I need to listen to 7 or 8 more times because I hear something that resonates with me and my mind immediately thinks of a million things that causes me to miss some of the message...thinking of things like how I've failed; how I've hurt; what I need to do; what I should have done; who I've hurt; who I've let down, etc... because of fear, doubt, selfish pride and the cowardice not to do the right thing that God wants me to do.

This does come down to who do we trust. Do we trust in our own strength and ways ? “I wrestle with this” or as we should do!! Is trust in Him who made the Heavens and the Earth. I truly have to write it that way for all of us to see how silly we can be.!!!

this sermon is not just for men; I was/am a single mother of 2 girls and it was tuff not knowing when to be the mom or to be the dad, but your sermon was meant for some women as well; and I was not saved raising them, it was very hard. Wish I had been saved, but as a teacher once said, 'if wishes were horses, we all would ride". There are very few men that I will listen to, and when I do, I make sure their sermons are from the Bible, (preference kjv) Those girls are grown, married with kids, thank GOD. But I have listened to several of your sermons and I like what I hear because you don't sugarcoat. I grew up Pentecostal when they preached against sin, so when I was away from the church/backslidden I always knew that I was sinning--that never left me. "I will never leave you or forsake you" He doesn't leave us, we leave him. He will NEVER make us stay with Him. "Choose you this day whom you will serve..." the Holy Spirit is a gentleman, and will never make you do anything against your God-given will.

Let me just say this as a woman over a half a century old… I find it EXTREMELY attractive when a man can be himself & be transparent about his feelings, what he’s going through, what his struggles are, and MOST OF ALL when he is transparent about his walk with the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY & what the LORD is speaking to him. I’m positive that I am not the only woman in the world that finds these attributes attractive in a man. GOD bless & protect you in Jesus name. Shalom

I like your comment. But marks message and section about fear is from the state, not the Bible. Please encourage your boys to be aware of usery. For that is all that message is about. Trying to get men back onto the Plantation for usery. GDP and birth rates are in the gutter. Single mother homes have proven to the main cause of the country's demise. Please do not encourage your sons to get with or procreate with modern western women. It will not end well for them.

I honestly don't feel fear over much anymore. I don't have worries either. I haven't in years, and it's been a process that's been years in the making. I'm 46 now and I've been on this path of discipleship since I turned 40 and over the last 5+ years, as I've made the Jesus the Lord of my life and over my life, He's just become my source for everything, and everything else is just a resource. I don't know when it happened exactly, but it did. Things just don't bother me on that level anymore. Yes, I care about things and I still have to deal with things that arise, but nothing ever touches me lie that UNLESS I'm out of alignment with God. That's actually one of the ways I know when I'm out of His will. I feel anxiety and fear and I, almost instinctively, go to God in prayer. That "Your will be done" moment Jesus had? That's kind of my default state after all of these years. I'm sure I'm capable of feeling those again, but my pain tolerance is so much higher than it's been. About the only thing that can make me nervous is walking up to a beautiful woman I've never met and saying hello lol.
@virginiabeaver28234 ай бұрын
I get exactly what you are saying. It is the" peace that passes all understanding". It takes a while to mature to this state. People tell me I am lying, because they have not reached this level of peace yet. Keep walking in that peace and praising the Lord. 😊

@@virginiabeaver2823 Yes. Some. People have told me I'm cold because conventional wisdom says I should be freaking out or stressed or worried or anxious, but I'm calm through it all. I have to tell them, yes, I absolutely care and the old me would be stressed, but I know nothing comes to me if it didn't first go through my Father's hands. I trust him, so I'm not worried about it. I'll pray about it, do what I need to, and that's that. Hardly anyone around me gets it. Dexter, why aren't you freaking out? Because I know where my help comes from. I'm never alone.

The last two years of my life I have constantly heard preaching with Gideon as the focal point. I've hidden for so long because I didn't think I was worth anything because all the people in my life were absent. Physically, emotionally and spiritually. I took that all so personally. I applied those humans to my Father in Heaven. He must not want me either. But I knew every time I heard a sermon about Gideon that He was telling me to stop hiding because He IS my true Father. This sermon, although geared for men, contains so much of how I have felt. Although I have big challenges in front of me I know with all my heart and all my faith that He is with me every step of the way.

Yeah... I need to listen to this one 7-8 more times. The men tend to reflect and ponder on this first while the women will jump up and down wanting all the men in their lives to watch and grow a pair. If any readers are not sure if you are a man.... insert thumbs in wasteband.... extend outward and check for any signs of manhood. Walking/living like a Godly man requires a spiritual "pair" and is a different story and manifested by our actions... the fruit of the spirit while following the instructions God gives us.... like correcting and admonishing with gentleness and love rather than just saying "you suck". (My flesh likes saying the latter and even likes typing "you suck".)

IT seems as though a lot of the teaching jump all over the bible and it is really hard to learn scripture when jumping back and fourth all over scripture. The motivation part is GREAT!! But how can we learn what the bible says to be a good Christian and what teachings we should learn and follow. Ive never read a book jumping from paragraphs from various chapters going back and forth and then be able to tell you what the book is about and still have a clear understanding. I like watching you ,but when you say your wife is complaining at you, I find that to be wrong. When you put out your feelings as a man, can I say you are complaining? A man needs to make her feel trust to be able to put her feelings out there in whatever is stressful, just as you as a man expects. What you said opens the door for men to think the same way, (her) it's complaining, and (men) it's feelings. I deal with this all the time with my husband. We both work, we both are responsible for the home equally, but he seems to think he should work and just come home. And if I at all tell him what I expect as two people being teammates, now I'm complaining? Any arguments or his complaining, it's his feelings. He counts, I don't. I give you this small piece of us to illustrate how the statement you make isn't great and if he doesn't want to feel like it's nagging or complaining, he should make better team mate choices and help, get off his phone and love me. Turn off the TV and talk to me. Help out with chores in the house without me having to come to him. Women are natural givers, and they are always thinking, of everyone and everything that has to get done. Men have a shut off switch and have to train themselves to try to out give her, so she feels happy, and content, and trusting. Leading as Jesus: servitude toward his wife so she feels the need to do the same.

Actually Driscoll is as usual completely wrong we need more not less fear, but it has to be the fear and trembling before a righteous and holy God and not the fear of men that brings a snare. And if he had that kind of godly fear he wouldn't be making the false and hypocritical judgments of the flesh against other peoples splinters in their eyes while not seeing the beam in his own. Paul was clear only when he is weak then can he be strong. Anyone who is preaching a doctrine of fleshly power and strength, ego inflation and self sufficiency is NOT teaching the faith and truth of Christ but is teaching a false doctrine that is the confidence in the flesh that is repudiated and rejected by all the apostles but especially by Paul. Who considered all those doctrines to be the taste not, touch not, handle not old covenant carnal commands to hold in check the sinful old Adam nature, which are no longer used, for the purpose of separating and cleansing the sinner, but that holiness and righteousness only comes by faith in the power of God working through the new life quickening transforming power of the holy spirit. This power is of God, by God, and for God and not for ones personal gain or glory, and especially not for the purpose of earning the respect and status among unholy ungodly high achieving profane men of the world.
