Hinduism even allows for spirituality to be explored in non-religious modes, making teachings relevant and interesting for the youth of today. Family values promoted by Hinduism can foster more stable family units and better community cohesion. The reconciliation between the truth claims of a science oriented worldview and a religiously oriented worldview is obligatory in this century. The Hindu Academy invokes findings at the cutting edge of modern sciences to promote this reconciliation.

"chitt vritti nirodh" - mind habit resist/stop - remember the words-meaning, deep inside you, as you meditate, when you meditate. In the end, the watchful mind persists, as the child mind calms down (for a while). Thank you Lakhani ji 🙏🏼

Alot of people dont even see the whales when they are there. Your answer is the same as Buddhist understanding of grabbing at things. Dont grab at the thoughts I.e. dont become attached to them. When you meditate, after a while you can recognize the urge to grab inside of you.

@@anamikaananya1134 It means sit with your eyes closed or staring at one spot, then letting your minds thoughts run wild. Do not react to the thoughts, no matter how awful or wonderful or disgusting they are, just observe them. That's how you meditate. Keep doing it until your mind eventually calms down and you gain control/ focus of your mind. And you'll know you've gained control/focus of your mind the moment your sitting with a clear mind focusing on the present moment of meditation your in. That's how you gain control of your mind through meditation. This is my interpretation of what I think Jay Lakhani was saying in this video, and it's how I'm going to practice my meditations. You can always do more research on how to properly meditate if you want though.

Thank you Sir...but if we control..suppress our emotions/anger etc...then I came to know(from news papers)that our heart/blood vessels will damage...so what's to do...I know that if we will not control our emotions then more and more physical / emotional damage can happen..but some time we may needs to repent if we will not react correctly to that situation...and life long that will bother us..

Emotion are the basis of our response to the situation, but one should think which emotion is required and when. Don't take emotion negative, emotion are positive or negative according to the situation. One must use the right emotion on the right time. But what we do is that we use wrong emotion or useless emotion in some situation and we also know that it is not a situation to be emotional like that but still we are in that emotion, then one should control his/her emotion.
