I cannot thank you enough for taking your precious time to share the Buddhist way of life with us. I was going through the worst phase of my life and suddenly came across this channel. It changed my life entirely. I have made a habit of watching this channel multiple times a day and that brings me inner peace, something I had never felt before. I have been trying to follow monk habits and I can see the change in me. Your videos helped me deal with pain without being angry and hurtful. It taught me how to forgive without being resentful. I have nothing but my sincere gratitude.

1) Aware of what I'm thinking 2) Shift my thought pattern into something wholesome. Think of a past experience that makes me peaceful. 3) Think about the disadvantages of negative thoughts, such as hurting myself and others. 4) Pay no mind, Pay no attention. Don't give attention to that thought. 5) Relax your thought process. Think of love, compassionsion, gratefulness. 6) Only if 2-5 doesn't work, use this: Crush your thoughts with awareness. This should not be done by everyone.

I just watched your amazing tricks to control our mind. Those were really good. I would like to share one of my remarkable experiences. 3 months back, I was listening to a random song. The whole day it was struck so badly in my mind that I couldn't let it go. It kept on distracting me during my studies. So, I actually tried that 5th step without knowing abt its existence. I forced my mind to stop thinking about it every time I could hear it. Initially, it was difficult, even though its frequency increased with more suppression I was persistent and faithful . Sooner I felt a tight band around my head squeezing it with my increased efforts to prevent my thoughts. And then I slept unconsciously ( coz it was 12 am ). When I woke up the next morning, I was surprised to find that the ringing sound is no more. I couldn't even recall the lyrics even if I tried recalling. It was as if my brain permanently deleted that memory. I was just fascinated by this incident and thus would like to share it with you guys as well. Hope you found something worthy.

Controlling your mind is not easy thing to do especially if you are terribly mad. Doing somethibg else like watching your favorite drama, doing art work, hugging your pet may help you shift your thoughts and feelings, from being mad to being calm. Thank you gor your teachibg, well appreciated❤❤❤
@reesemorgan2259 Жыл бұрын
I'm glad you said that, because I can't seem to calm down at times. I just re-run my big failures in my mind and then my descent seems inevitable. I don't doubt that I have bad karma. To cope I often favour indulging in distractions such as watching The Dodo clips about rescuing shelter dogs destined for enuthanasia. Do what you've got to do etc.

I do not recall where I heard it, but when you catch yourself thinking a negative thought, immediately say out loud or in your mind, “cancel, cancel” and them smile to let your subconscious know that you didn’t mean that negative thought. It really works. In fact, I thought it to my daughter and grandchildren and at first they laughed at me but I catch them doing it all the time 😊 because it works.

I totally understand what you say but regarding desire in my mind I don't feel it as a negative emotion and I am experiencing a conflict inside of me every time I have these types of thoughts. I feel that desire is an emotion that is needed in our lives besides the sexual desire also as a motivation to keep doing the things we love. Also if a lay person that is in the spiritual path surrender the desire then how can someone make a relationship without this element in his life? It's a struggle lately I am dealing with because I feel that the emotion of desire it's not negative or harmful. Thank you Thero for your support and kindness..
