How to convert a AC Locomotive to DCC

You still have plenty of DC or AC locomotives laying around ? But zou cannot run them on your DCC layout. This tutorial video shows you how to install a decoder in a AC locomotive, but most of the step are similar for DC locomotives.
We convert a HAG AC Re 4/4 II to DCC in this video.

removal of ac coil is not nesesery, and neither is a permanent magnet installation, just ad a bridge rectifier and limiting resistor to dcc input, you can even make it povered only when the loco decoder is active with a transistor switch

The decoder is not made to run with anything else than a permanent magnet. You would probably end up with a driving characteristic, and your waranty might be void in case of a defect. In addition, running an electromagnet requires more power.

Do we really need to put choke coil and capacitor? Some people say don't bother, to put them.

No, you don't, but it avoids RF interferences with other electronic device. It's just best practice.

Well what about the wheels, on a 3 rail märklin the all wheels is same connection ground and how fix that for DCC????

The power is taken the same way, centre rail is one pole, the rails are an other It just conatin the data signal. DCC is a data format, and doesn't contain any mechanical specification. DC Car uses DCC over IR Light.

But I dont wanna use märklin 3rail tracks, I wanna use just 2rail tracks, they look more real then my old Märklin rails.
