Honestly my parents want me to be a doctor and they want me to make money but I love acting but I’m scared of my dads opinion and they won’t pay for things like that. My dad is Muslim and my mom is Hispanic and they are so strict. They say acting is awful and you won’t be successful and I think they are scared of people getting crazy over me or them being awful towards me.

You should do a video on ways to get/save money because at a young age you can’t really get a job, but if you know any other helpful ways to get money to save up for acting, cause that’s my parents’ only main concern at the moment

Well your parent can give you a workers permit as young as 14 i believe and if you’re younger do the regular, walk a dog, mow lawns, as your parents for money depending on the work you do around the house (Obviously some families cant afford that)

My parents are kinda too suportive haha. And it is not a bad thing obviously but I am from Romania and it is a really not good country to start acting...so yeah I will go for college in the UK first when I'll be 18 and then maybe I'll get auditions in USA. In Romania I don't have any places to act or work because here is a totally different thing.. I truly believe I belong to USA. The only thing I can do is learning monologues by myself and practicing them until I think they're good..that's it if I was born in this country:( sometimes I feel that maybe God sent me here for making the things work hard and then when I'll be what I love I'll say that it doesn't matter where are you from if you really desire something that means you can make your dreams come true and that your dreams are valid no matter what. I’ve been dreaming of acting my whole life, but my parents view it as a moral-destroying career. So I’ve basically cycled through dozens of different activities trying to find something that I’m good at + I love doing, and it’s way harder than it sounds. So I finally tried acting, and I practiced with my friends at changing emotions, getting in character, memorizing script etc. I’m a straight a student and I was homeschooled for most of my life, so that’s not an issue, but I’m still terrified to ask them to let me audition for something. Kay TV this video is pretty old so she probably won’t respond but I can give it my best shot...Like she said in the video, try doing jobs for neighbors or parent’s friends, lown mowing, dog walking, babysitting, etc. ofc its hard now with corona but once this is all over I recommend letting people know that you want to work.

I have always wanted to become an actor. I told my mom I wanted to be an actor when I was 8, but she said no. Then, I decided that I would just give up on acting. I tried doing other things, but none of those things worked. So I told my mom that I wanted to act when I was 11. She said she supported me, but she then said that I would only have to start acting when I was 18. Now, I'm frustrated because I really want to try acting right now. I don't know how though, I really want to talk to her. I'm also not sure if I want to act in film, so I want to try it first. I have been doing musical theatre and acting classes since I was young, but it’s always been a hobby. But to me it has always been a passion, my parents have different views on my future (I’m pretty sure they see me being a lawyer, doctor, etc.), but that is far from my field of interest. I never loved dancing in theatre or even really singing, but felt obligated to be one with the crowd. What I’m trying to say is I am now a teenager and have grown out of my musical theatre phase, I want to start acting so so bad, but just don’t know how to put the worlds together and build up the nerve to tell my parents. And if I ask them to sign with an agency I can already invision their shocked faces and the harsh no that follows. I just don’t wanna have to start when I’m older, it seems like the type of career you start young, agh idk

you see, I’m really young like 14. and i live in small state, and I don’t think my mom likes me starring in film projects and stuff. because every time I said that she makes a face. when ever I think about it, I REALLY want it and hopefully to Star in Netflix or something. -but I don’t have clear skin -I’m not really skinny -I’m kinda underaged and my confidence always goes down. one time, I told my mom I wish I was like Sadie Sink or something that is young and known. Ever since I was little I wanted to act but my mom thought “ oh she wants to be in movies like every other little kid”. When I got older (like 10 I started trying to actually pursue it like looking for audition online but I still didn’t really know what you had to do. When I was 11 we moved to Nevada, so we were a lot closer to LA so my mom was less wary about the idea. This helped a lot :) my mom is already supportive with the idea that i want to start taking acting classes but my dad isn’t but tbh idc haha xd i will start taking acting classes soon that i could start filling my resume! But there’s one problem... i don’t live in the Us :( my uncle lives in florida and my mom told me that i could visit him this year maybe but its a 50/50 change that i could move to the Us :/ my parents told me that they were super close to move to the Us back in 2001, but after the September 11th incident, they weren’t quite sure about it anymore.. and back in 2016-2017-ish my dad got an email promoting of moving to the Us but again he wasn’t sure of it so were kinda in a 50/50 thing rn but thanks for the help Audrey :) btw I’ve herd that people with curly 3 hair type (if you don’t no what it is its curly hair type) or afro hair don’t get even a change to audition! My sister told me that people with afro hair don’t get hired unless they straighten their hair (my sister has afro hair and she saw on all around the media about that) Is this true because my hair is curly and i don’t want to keep straightening my hair for some show i would be in besides i don’t want heat burn aka natural curly hair and then some of the hair is straight .. its horrible ... i’d probably have to cut my hair if i’d keep straightening my hair :/ but what do you think Audrey?

For getting money, since were in quarintine would cleaning and dog walking still work? I can't really do jobs for my parents since they are at the beginning of a divorce so my mom isn't moved out yet so she's saving money for rent and then a house. Ilysm! 💖💕💖

It is what it is! Some roles they may want braces but you only have to show your teeth in your smiling one

See, I am in Boyscouts, and I want to do acting along side it. Now, I show interest in that with acting. Both of which are expensive. I have feeling that I would be told do choose one. I would enjoy it if I could do both, but how my parents are with decisions. Any ideas with convincing for possiblility of doing both. (Yes, I do know both are very time consuming, and include a tight schedule.)

For me it's pretty hard to convince my parents because I have 3 other siblings meaning they have to pay for things like unlike paying for me to get an agent ect. But I guess I'll keep trying 🤷🏾‍♀️
