Hi Lindz, that roast dinner looked delicious! I’ve been pondering getting a multi.cooker as the pressure cooker function looks a lot safer than the saucepan variety my mum had . That thing used to frighten the life out of me as a kid and put me off them for years😂 I’m undecided between the Ninja and the Instant Pot but am coming down more on the side of the IP I think, the more so now you’ve mentioned how noisy the Ninja is! Really interesting to see how useful these devices can be. You’re not the only one who’s forgotten to get dinner out of the freezer - a common problem for me the older I get😀 Great video, thank you!

Hiya lovely 👋 My nan used to use the on the hob ones everyday you name it it was cooked in them 😂 Before I got my first multi cooker I planned to get just the basic on the hob sort then I discovered the magic of theses appliances 😅 I'm going to get my bigger instant pot duo crisp 5.7L out and do a video so you can see what it's like then a side by side with the Ninja so I hope it helps x

Hi lindz..total success with the sausage casserole. Airfryer. Sausage and onions and mushrooms. All the rest in slow cooker. Up at 6.30am to set this away. Eating 12.30pm .even shans sister took a bowl.thank you again for your guidance. This old fella used to burn toast..😅😅😅.bless you angel..old dave

Love that you try these things out for us so that we don't cock up! The reason i got a ninja over an instant pot was so i didn't have to change/store lids as i don't have a lot of kitchen storage. Love the Ninja even with it's noise 😊

😂 that gave me a giggle Denise 😂 I agree storage for the extra lid on the instant pot is a big problem for a lot of people. Mine although a few years old now still gets stored in its original box in the back utility room 😂 x

Hi George I found this comment in held for review because it thought it was a email or link address this has happened a few times now and I've worked out why 😉 There's no space after a full stop making the technology think its a link or something. Since I said I was spending a few hours in the garden its rained near non stop I'm not holding much hope for my poor spuds 😳 I'm hoping to get a poly tunnel in the summer sales for next years garden 😅 All this summer has been good for is slugs x

I love my Instant pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer especially as it has the two separate lids that you can completely remove to give you room to saute and it being an 8 ltr one I can get a nice big chicken in it,another great tutorial video Lindz and the finished product looks so tasty flower Xx

Hi Ricky 💜 Mines the 5.7L duo crisp I haven't done any videos with it yet. Mine seems to have a homing device. I've given it away now twice, and it's come back 😂 more so from the people not knowing and being afraid to use it, so I've decided to keep it. I am considering selling the ninja one, though. I do like the separate lids on the instant pot so much easier to clean. Just storage is a bit of an issue for a lot of people. Hi Dorinda 👋 I remember when I was done with my first one years ago. I was a little worried, but once I saw the temperature and knew it was safe, I settled and enjoyed it. Since there's not much you can't cook in a multi cooker the sky's the limit 😂x

Oh, gosh, it never occurred to me to do a frozen chicken, but I guess I could in my InstantPot, although I do not have an airfryer...(yet?) I suppose a quick browning would not be hard, though. Thanks! I make broth all the time, but not with carcasses.I save trimmings and the meaty bones when I debone my own pieces.

Hi Tonette 💜 I saw an air fryer lid you can get to go on an instant pot for those that don't have the duo crisp model and looked interesting. The air fryer buying world is a complete mind field as there's so many to choose from now. I used to potion my whole chickens now its seems easier to just do them whole more so because of lack of time. I haven't done a beef stock in years as it's rare I have any beef meat with bones in. I must pop to the butcher and see what he has. I hope you're doing ok, lovely x

@@LindzandLife I have known so many peopel who have 'buyer's remorse' when they bought an airfryer, then I have people who eat premade foods a lot and love the ease of them. I honestly can't imagine adding in another appliance! We almost never see bones, either. I just use scraps, which is not as good. Many years ago I used to use beef ribs or oxtail, but they have gone through the roof in price,(I have a great recipe for oxtail soup made in the oven. I just can't see spending that money now. My brother died a couple of weeks ago. It had been hard traveling to him every day(72.5km) for weeks then I just moved in with him when he went into hospice. Maybe I told you, but that is one reason I was not online, but life back to what passes for normal with me! Glad all is apparently well with you, but prayers your way anyway, as , well, life, huh? LOL!

Well I've never done a whole chicken but I have IP'd frozen cornish game hens and frozen salmon fillets and both have turned out great if you don't mind a pale chicken!

This just goes to show us that an air fryer alone now I have bought one doesn't make all my other equipment redundant like some people would like us to believe, even your old oven can sometimes be needed to keep things warm. Or store your pots and pans in.LOL.

Yes please to batch cooking. I have a small instant pot (3 litres?) , and love it for doing veg in. Have you ever tried the zero minute steaming? Something like that, or is it pressure cooking? Flip me, I've forgotten already, which is probably why I did it right the first time and wrong the second time. Only done it twice haha. Hope you don't mind me asking - is that a slight Brummie accent I hear? I can't quite put my finger on it. Thanks again for another great video 👍

Not brummie 😂 Midlands uk Crossed with Midlands Ireland, it's a strange accent 😊 I've used the zero pressure cook twice for broccoli, and cauliflower found it ok but still a little hard. Then, I tried it for potatoes, and they were raw 😂 My little 3L is my daily work horse but use my bigger ones for batch cooking mainly. Thank you for watching till the end I think most missed that question 😂x

Hi lilac 👋 I did brown it after pressure cooking in this video lovely using the air fryer lid so basically roasting it the easy way 😄 . But you could pop in the oven or a separate air fryer. I sold my speedi as I knew it wasn't for me with all the other appliances I own 😂x

I also want to be able to cool chicken thighs with skins on (my elderly picky cat loves them and they cost me a fortune to buy cooked) - any advice you can give will be gratefully accepted. xx

You can use it just like an air fryer lovely so anything you'd normally do in a airfryer or oven that will fit works and your fur babie will love the thighs 💜x

Dave, I'm going to pull out my instant pot duo crisp 5.7L. I've not done a video on it yet. Only my instant pot mini 3L, which is my everyday one. I'll do a video of the bigger one, then another video side by side with the Ninja. Then, hopefully, that will answer some questions for you 😉x
