I had success making the Bob's Big Boy Burger a few years ago. A couple of tips: if using Kraft for the cheese, use Kraft deli deluxe American cheese (not their regular American cheese which did not taste right). Also, I used Del Monte hamburger relish (the one that says, "made with real sugar" on the front. It tasted identical to what I remembered for the big boy burger). Also, make sure the burgers are thin enough to create the proper ratios between all the layers.

No one I have ever met in the 10 years I have worked in kitchens, Not ONE person thinks burgers should be pressed or cooked below well-done(legal issue here). I cook these burgers for myself, and I do not argue anymore. The place I work now, does "dirty burgers" which are small burgers with only a pickle and cheese with some secret sauce, but they refused to do pressed.. They waste so much time and effort on these dry hockey puck nuggets that do not fit the bun.. I get so mad but not a single person backs me up about their product. This show makes me feel better and validated. also, I hate ketchup too.
