I love artichokes! I usually make a mayonnaise-based sauce to dip into but butter sound easier and just as yummy. Can I use chicken or vegetable broth instead of water to steam them?

I love artichokes especially in the instant pot…there are much easier to cook that way instead of boiling…I also add a few cloves of whole garlic and a little drizzle of olive oil to the water, cook and then dip in mayonnaise or aioli dip…yummy!!!

I forgot to add, I put the trimmed stems loose in the Instant Pot so they are cooked alongside the whole artichokes…they will be tender also and taste delicious as they are a part of the heart just tougher, that’s why I trim them first with a paring knife…

Did you use cold tap water? Where they extra large? How much water did you use? That will help me troubleshoot for you.

@@AMindFullMom 1 1/2 cups water, yes cold. Medium size, was only able to fit 3 in instant pot.
