I think one of my favorite things about watching your videos is seeing how our culture (from the motherland) is so evident in Caribbean and Afro-Am/Creole food. Our food culture is so vast, different but familiar and I love that. Nice pots too. Congratulations on your launch.

What a great way to close this very productive last week of a memorable September with two themes common among our esteemed African and the African diaspora chefs on KZbin this week: one pot dishes and chicken dishes. Now the great Joyful Cook herself has combined the two to produce a sumptuous, delicious, and healthy “coconut fried rice” dish, with fried and steamed shrimp and small chunks of chicken, lots of fresh mixed vegetables, and a big chunk of tasty roasted chicken leg! ‘This is your world’ Joyful Cook, ‘we are all just living in it!’ Thank you for a memorable September!

Why don't most chefs on social media parboil their rice when cooking jollof or fried rice
