You know Ms. Mae Mae as a little boy growing up in Southern California I loved them so much I couldn't wait until my mama would get these all fried up. I had an outstanding cooking mama who could just do it all in the kitchen from scratch. I had always thought that this was something that she just experimented with. I didn't know until I moved to Atlanta 30 years ago that it was an actual hor d'oeurve. But at any rate I thought that I'd share that little tidbit story with you. Your tomatoes look delicious ! I live in NJ and we grow good tomatoes but I never had fried green tomatoes. But I could taste yours...the cornmeal mix cooked crisp, and the tomatoes cooked inside. I can’t wait One question is what kind of oil do u use? I love watching your show. Thank you!
