Thank you for sharing; my wife has celiac disease and can't eat any version of siomai that has a wheat flour wrapper. I will be trying this. Enjoyed hearing your children playing in the background while you were cooking. I think if you try putting your rolls in the freezer for maybe ten minutes before slicing them in preparation for steaming, you'll find they slice much easier. Less tearing and smearing on the sides of your knife. BTW, how many crab sticks (or weight)? Missed that in your narration. Also, the portions of chilis, garlic, and oil for the dip. I think I got the rest of it right: 1/2 Kg. ground pork 3 Tbsp. carrots 2 Tbsp. green onion leaves 1/2 Tbsp. sugar 1 Tbsp. fish sauce 1 Tbsp. garlic powder or chopped garlic 1 Tbsp. sesame oil 1 Tbsp. oyster sauce 1 Tbsp. corn starch 1 egg pinch ground black pepper crab sticks Nori seaweed sheets

Sorry to say this isnot japanese siomai! I mean the shomai here doesnt have nori orseaweeds around but the usual common type tho- any one like you can create their own recipe.but pls refrain frm using the title bec its misinformation po! Just saying!
