My Children Dallas and Hannah absolutely can’t resist a good plate of fried liver piled taste onions.
We fix a pot of rice and English peas to go with it. What’s so odd is that none of my grandchildren like liver.
I can’t see why not. It’s so good for me. Mama always cooked it.
Question: Have y’all ever had liver hash. ?? We had it every Christmas Eve when I was growing up.
The next question will probably tell me how old you are if you can remember this.

We also had peas with our liver and onions but made a lot more onions accompanied by mashed potatoes. My folks are gone now and I lost my husband in 2000 and I haven’t thought about making liver and onions for a very long time. Watching you today brought back memories of eating this and I’m going to buy the makings and fix some for myself! I can’t wait! Love your videos and recipes. Thank you 🙏

I love liver & onions too. I flour & fry mine then take it out of the grease. I pour out all but a tablespoon of the grease, toss in the onions & saute till almost soft then I put about a tablespoon of flour & stir it all around. Add salt & pepper & a little water at a time till it has a semi thick consistency, turn the fire off & add the liver to the gravy till ready to serve. I serve it over rice with green beans & fresh sliced tomatoes. 😊

That's the way to do it. I lay 2 pieces of bacon on top of the liver when I serve it. I like it best with onion rings and home fries.

I love liver and onions and also take your liver and put it in flour. Like doing chicken. Than fry beacon up and than fry the liver in the beacon grease. Oh my gosh so good.

My daddy loved liver and onions, but my mom couldn't cook it because of the smell, I cooked them for him whenever they came to stay with me. He has been gone since 1983 and mom in 1995, I'll see them again soon! Praise God!

When my brother and I were kids, after church my parents would take us to Morrison's Cafeteria after church to eat. We always got liver and onions! One time, I 'll never forget we were in line choosing our entree and the server said, "You know you can get whatever you want, fred chicken, fried shrimp, and we said, Thank you, but we love liver and onions and that's why we order it"! He was shocked. I often think about that. I love liver and onions to.this day. My husband loves it too. I have served it to my kids but they wouldn't touch it!

I remember my Mother cooking liver..it wasn't one of my favorites but I did eat it...later in life I was visiting a friend in Montana..we went on a road trip n stopped at a truck stop..a trucker had just received his plate of liver n onions...the aroma got me...
