There is something so special about watching the elders cook, rice may seem like a simple dish, but there is definitely an art to cooking a perfect pot. Thank you for sharing 😊

*What is the Gospel?* The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Romans 10:9 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. JESUS CHRIST can come anytime! American white rice is already washed before packaging. Since white rice grains are just the endosperm of the seeds, they're just empty carbs, that's why after washing it is enriched with many essential minerals and vitamins, that's why the USDA recommends that US grown rice shouldn't be washed or rinsed, you are washing away the nutrients down the drain. If you do wash US domestic rice, and cook it according to the package directions, the grains become too soft, almost mushy to the bite. Perfect (domestic) white rice: 2 cups of water per 1 cup of rice. Add salt and butter to water in a pot. Bring to a boil, add rice, set timer to 18 to 20 minutes, stir for half a minute, turn to low. Add a tight fitting lid, after time is up, turn off flame, let sit 10 minutes before taking lid off. Very simple and comes out perfect and very fluffy every time.

_I must say, Deddy is absolutely right about the “washing” step of cooking 🍚 Rice‼️When I was a little girl, my Mom ALWAYS rinsed her Rice. When I began cooking, I thought I was ‘smart’ and would skip the pre-rinse and would rinsed once the Rice was about 75% done. However, lately Rice is just not cooking the same - it’s weird🤔 Over the last few months, I’ve become a Jasmin Rice enthusiast, but the package instructions no longer work. I don’t know if they are mixing product or not. I think I’m going to go back to this method next time I cook me some. I really love😍love, love me some Jasmin and Sautéed Veggies, but nothing is as disappointing as a pot of Rice that’s too gummy or too hard and you have to work on it just to get it eatable_

Asian ppl do the same thing for Jasmine or long grain rice, just no butter. But the one thing we have in common is you have to wash it! I’ve taken a liking to more chewy, separate, medium grain, Japanese style rice and I do the same with half a nail measure.

I admit that rice is something I've never really put a lot of effort into when cooking it by itself. Yet with the chicken that I was cooking, I was determined to make it tasty. The previous led me to this video. I could not believe how some simple adjustments shared in this video would do the trick. Nothing spectacular, just some butter and adjusted temperature complimented the chicken and vegatables that I prepared. Thank you all and much respect.

_Please do various versions of Jasmin (or even regular types) I really can eat two things EVERYDAY and not get tired of it - Rice and vegetables. Since getting older, my taste has changed so drastically that I ‘m ‘basically’ a pescatarian (I think🤷🏽♀️)😉. Absolutely no taste for Beef, Poultry and I haven’t had Fish for more than 6 months. It could be temporary, but It may be a good thing for a person “North” of 60 to be more careful because Deddy is right - who knows what’s being put in our foods today? I wonder if our food is real food_

I was told that you don’t need to wash rice that has been packaged, bc it’s already been washed many times. Especially Jasmine rice. It has flavor and washing it will wash out the flavor. Only wash rice that you buy loose, by the pound, bc it’s dirty due to people touching it, and since it’s in open air anything can fall into it. It’s also dirty and had not been previously washed like the packaged rice. I do not wash my rice and I do not buy loose rice by the pound.
